Күн бұрынFirst time trying this boat dolly out but a huge success in my opinion. It will definitely take some practice but I'll be using this for long boat ramps and difficult launch sites. It's also super simple to transport. It can be broken down into 2-3 pieces.

I use this dolly for my Lure 13 5 i launch the same except I use a strap in in the bow I have a motor on the stern and it can teter up I tie it to my bed extender to retrieve it up the ramp.

I just put the dolly inside the kayak and tied both to the truck bed.

how does your front end not want to tip over? I had a dolly similar to this too but my old town kept tipping over at the front end due to the bottom being so narrow that it doesn't sit on the pads that stick out. amazing watching you pull that thing and its not tipping over.

Would def come in handy if you fish bodies of water where the ramp gets busy and you want to get off the water quickly.

Rust is definitely a concern in the salt especially if you don’t wash it off after each use. Maybe spray it with a rust inhibitor?

It’s hit or miss depending on how knowledgable your MVC is but just make sure you have your paperwork in order…. Bill of sale/purchase receipt and MSO. I usually go to the Newton MVC bc they’re pretty familiar with kayaks.

How do you secure it in your truck when you are on the water to prevent theft? That would be a big concern of mine. Other than that this looks like a great option when I don't want to take my trailer.

You can disassemble into 3 pieces for an SUV. I would just take the handle part off and leave it in my truck bed with the truck cover on and tailgate locked.

Did you have it fully extended to its maximum length? Wondering if it would still work for my AP 136.

I did have it fully extended. Might be too short for the 136 IMO.

Not street legal but you probably could add a hitch receiver for parking lot to ramp launching for super short distances.
