Hand Engraving my great grandfather's Great Western Arms, Colt Single Action Army clone, .22cal revolver with extensive gold and silver inlay as a tribute to his time as an Air Force aircraft mechanic in WW2. The gun has extensive raised and flush gold and silver inlay. It is one of a pair passed on to me from my great grandfather Harold "Lucky" Lochmann. All of the inlay was chosen based on Airforce and aircraft mechanic themes. The finish is a distressed blue to better match it's mate which will never be engraved. The photo seen in the video of Lucky in front of a 1957 Buick Royal wearing his full western rig, was taken in Las Vegas in 1957. The year he purchased the guns. I cut the .22 cal exactly 60 years later and brought the pair back to Vegas for the Firearms Engravers Guild of America show where the gun was the recipient of the GRS Tools - Artistic Uniqueness Award. Be sure and watch this one on a big screen to see all the details! You can see more of my work at www.southerncustomengraving.com or on Instagram @laynezuelke
