Another good presentation!

Another fantastic review I’m glad to hear that you can review trend willy-nilly and without bias what a fantastic bit of kit it ticks so many boxes doesn’t it !if I was in the workshop more often I would seriously consider something like this however I’m on site and awful lot and when you turn up with your Festool extractor which all the hoses took away so neatly ,that all the hoses tuck inside all the and you can click your. Systainer on top and use it as impromptu toolbox Unfortunately I do have a little bit of snobary this about it the festool looks good btw I love my Bluetooth connection on my midi top job

Good review Leo, I bought a Festool extractor last year, different gravy, I used to buy a lot of Trend products, but over the last 8 or so years they have been aiming at the low end market when they were always a top end brand, I had the T3 router (for 20+ yrs) it packed up bought the T4 (£90 screwfix) I took it back, all plastic and a rigid style, be interesting to see how it lasts in the long run, but the price is very good, for a shop vac check out (either Keith or Badger) get a Cyclone and build a extractor 'shed' to the rear of your workshop, I just used a Henry, worked a treat, but for on site the Festool does what I want it to

Spot on mate Trend are a very good brand I only use there worktop jigs and up until recently I would only use there routers t10 or t11 👍

What an absolute bargain price point, and so many extra accessories than most other brands! 👌🏽 Nicely reviewed there, Leo, a pretty thorough job of it. 👍🏽 Make 2 cyclones for it, and swap em out as required, one for the finer dust and one for the chunky monkey stuff. 😉

HI Leo ive just bought this on your recommendation from Amazon for £145 , ive used it for the first time today and it was Amazing not one single bit of sawdust ,Im sanding some old wood from some racking and it has very fine dust particles everything is normally covered in it But not no more , I cant believe how good it is thanks for the review leo ATB mate

Great stuff, Leo. The Mirka looks identical to the Nilfisk I have for sanding, etc. Maybe hook it up to a 30ltr bin under a wee cyclone...? It'll save the filter on the Trend and emptying is a damn sight easier. What a lot of room in the workshop...! Great init!!

Great review matey and looks a great bit of kit. I would keep it clean and put a cyclone in-line with it . Save on filters and bags.

hi great review of the trend t33 dust vac, I have bought 1, what I cannot fathom is what purpose does the top circular outlet (to r/h side of switch) serve ? there are photos of this in use on the actual box but nothing in the manual . thanx in advance

Great review Leo and certainly an impressive machine. I wonder if the long and rather small hose would compromise the airflow. I find that using a 3M 50mm hose on my Festool extractor makes a big difference to dust control with the tracksaw. Mike

I'm thinking of buying one for a similar set up and wonder if it has enough oooomph?! Thank you for taking the time to make your great videos.

Good review, good machine. You may have been better using a black cloth rather than a white one, it would make it easier to see the dust. As a matter of interest I use a DeWalt 125mm sander with just the collection bag as supplied and I see very little dust escaping if I use the Abranet disks.

This might be a stupid question, but can I use this to pick up heavier items, like screws and nails on the floor, or small bits of rubbles, etc?

After watching your review I was very impressed with the T33a. But looking at the specs, it only has a 1500w limit on the power take off so is lacking a bit for me there. Maybe the T35??🤔

After seeing you review I wish I saw the trend vacuum before I bought the Festool ctm36 and the chip separator as that looks like a great vacuum and a a lot cheaper. but I think we will call my disappointment first world issues

What is the highest power tool take off for this the T 33A in a 110v version?

Hi Bit late to the party here. We just got given these by work. Seems like a good enough bit of kit. But can someone tell me what the outlet on the top is for? On the actual motor part there is an outlet which looks like a hose would go in and it has a sprung plug inside which pushes in to the machine and allows air to vent out when the motor is running? Feels like it might take a fitting to use as a blower? But the hose that comes with it doesn't fit. I just need to know!!!😅

Problem with this is if the power surges and the tool plug in shorts there is no circuit breaker reset or accessible fuse. I had my plunge saw blade pinch and it shorted out and is now in the shop for repairs. Other than this flaw it is a really good machine but I can't understand why they wouldn't put a breaker like every other machine that has this feature. I've only owned it for two weeks as well so it's bound to happen again.

My real life opinion is that this vac is awful! Has good suction and a nice long hose. That’s about it. 2nd day of ownership it fell over in the van, both front wheels snapped off and a black bit on the top broke away. 3 months later it burnt out and nearly set on fire. I took it back for a refund. Just isn’t tough enough for it’s purpose

Made out of the cheapest plastic possible .... the front castors fell off within the first week one castor fell off the hoover attachment after 3 weeks ....... absolutly extortionate price for bags .... as for extraction stick a router on there and see how it fairs cut close to the edge with the plunge saw it let's itself down massively its about good for hoovering the workshop floor pretty much nothing else

Screwfix, here I come!

The T33a replaced my T30 which lasted about 10 years. When my T30 motor blew out ,despite changing the brushes, no replacement was available. I bought the T33a as a replacement, construction wise what a cheap piece of shit. Two separate breakage point around the wheel base, the large red wheel snapped at the axle and the small black wheel broke at the base insert point. Do not buy this for site work. Cheaper units from other manufacturers will give you better service. No complaints about the ability to clean but the plastic fabrication is pathetic. These breakages were within 6 months of light use. The T30 is just missing a motor, I'm tempted to disassemble the 33a and see if I can adapt the motor to fit the T30. Not a happy chappy, this unit is probably ok for a workshop where it's not being moved but for mobile use find something else.

Sorry absolutely disagree. I have lots of trend products but this is very disappointing it will do nothing positive for Trends image. It has gimmicks like the power take off and a long vacuum tube but it is like wrestling with a small python and the cheap plastic tube awkward to use when attached to a sander or palm router. The actual dust volume is poor most of the space is taken up by the motor and filter. The vacuum is made of a brittle plastic, a wheel snapped off after a few days. I tried to use it on my trend router table but the suction was insufficient. It has been running for a few weeks just to clean floors and has now actually stopped working. Going to look for my money back. Going to get a Henry.

Sorry but the dust test is ridiculous. Its not what falls on the sheet that matters its the spores that get into the air that matters.
