Hi, I have no idea what to practice. I am a little past beginner and still can't remember the notes on either staves. I am almost ready to give up. Thank you for the free lessons. You make everything much easier to understand and fun too.

Creative Piano Academy - That is exactly my problem. I don't know exactly what I should practice and how to apply it to actual playing. For now, when I practice, I play the C- major scale with a metronome at 120 bpm forward and backward. Then I play the 1-5-6-4 chord progression in the right accompanied by the bass note in the left. After that practice, I have been trying to learn the first part of "Moonlight Sonata". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I just purchased a Yamaha P45.

I read somewhere that on every practice, you should review what you have already learned, then begin the new stuff.

I'm learning a lot THANKS!!! The only thing is that your counting confuse me and is hard to fall on the key, cause you count up to 4 but you only last until 2 (well I guess one thing is the speed and other the time you should last in one note, but is a little bit confusing)

Had the same issues but figured it out later, so you have to combine the exercise 1 and 2 , i.e you have you hit the keys on the count of 1 , and-of 3 on the left(as done in exercise 1) while on the right hand you have to hit the keys on 2 and the and-of 3, and-of 4 (as done in exercise 2). To take it up a level on the left hand you have to switch between C-G ,F-C, A-E , G-D

Hi :) 1 - What is the best(most difficult) exercises you know which allow to use fingers on both hands independent of each other not symmetrically for example left hand fingers are going 1,2,3,4 but left hand figners strokes 4,3,2,1, (if You know what I mean saying "not symmetrically" english is not my native language,I use google translator haha) let me clarify Basically the point is that our limbs have a natural tendency for symmetrical movement. That is, if the fingers of the left hand move in the order 1,2,3,4 (from pointing to little) fingers of the right hand that want to strokes according to the same pattern. The problem arises when we want to move the fingers of both hands at the same time but in different configurations, e.g. fingers 1,2,3,4 of the left hand together with fingers 3,2,1,4 of the right hand.

Hello Josef , I find it very difficult to be disciplined with daily practice routines learning from videos such as yours ( which are great by the way) maybe you could offer some strict routines for practicing every day ! I do try and practice chords & scales everyday but am easily distracted because of not having an actual teacher pushing me on ! Can you suggest anything ? Cheers , I thoroughly enjoy your videos .

When you get enough practice, you can do it in learning the song. Otherwise, you are sticked in same problem: left right hand coordination.

"Simple" ! really ? 😁 Ex n° 1 : Unable to play off beat on the "&", according to the 1&2&3&4& rhythm! 😞. As usual I first had to schematise the measures on paper. Then I cheat by simulating a rhythm of 8 beats per measure and striking on each 1st and 6th beat, using a metronome. I don't know if it is the good way but it works for me, even with both hands. 😇
