How often can you see a car with fully chromed engine? On this Golf mk2 it's not only the engine that has been chromed, all the parts that were possible to be chromed got chromed in this vehicle. Robert has owned this car for 18 years and the car has gone through couple different evolutions. First it was built to be a really road capable and almost track capable car, but then chrome took over and now it's a real show car and gets trailer editing to the shows, but Robert admitted that he would love to rake the car out for a spin and really enjoy the true potential of that car. But, as any car project, the car is still not finished and Robert has some amazing plans for the cars future, but we'll need to wait till the next show season to see him unveil all the new features.

I have had a 1985 Golf GTi mk2, I sold it on but it still, to this day, has not passed the 30 000km mark on the odo...original...I was stupid to sell it. This GTi, however, is a beauty...I would genuinely just sit next to it and stare at it for hours...WOW! It's LOVELY. Excellent job, mate.

Absolutely love it, got a golf 2 cl myself. Love it to bits, hella much work tho. Can't believe you don't drive it tho, instead you use it to compete in shows. The best thing in the world is having people give you massive looks while driving down the street.

I admire all the work, but to not drive it, seems redundant when it's a car to be driven. It's akin to Singer building the ultimate Porsche, but with a Golf Gti. Great build though, I wished I'd kept my Mk1 Sportline and Mk 2 8v
