Hadelich is one of the best all time. What I love is unlike some other legends he seems to retain the great attitude and curiousity and passion, he takes risks and puts out a lot of novel pieces, explores new things like American folk, and is playing with solo arrangements for multi-instrumental pieces. He's laying down benchmark recordings and moving the instrument forward at the same time. And he's everywhere. Man does he work hard.

Augustin, you are fast making your way into my heart. Your playing is is not TRYING to pop. It just *exists* in a timeless state as if mocking the modern violin race. Also - having just worked with 6 other musicians on a corona-distanced recording myself - you both did a tremendous job sounding coherent. BRAVI!

One of the finest performances of "chamber music at a distance" on the internet in the world today. In addition to the bravura playing, the need to sync (by rehearsing back and forth over several renditions) without using mirror neurons in real time (the way musicians playing in situ normally do) has created a fresh and thrilling togetherness--different and unexpected--that opens the score to the ear in a new way. Amazing. How did you make it without headphones? Did you adjust to pre-recorded cello part just as you played played both piano and violin parts? p.s. I love your bangs today😂

In this case, I recorded first and sent it to Efe, who filmed as he was synchronizing to it (wearing an earpiece in his right ear). Then, when he sent his video back, I re-recorded my part again synchronizing to his recording (with an earpiece in my left ear). It took us both a few tries!

Hadelich almost plays the opening in 3/8, not the dotted quaver + semiquaver. Sounds a little odd to me. Other than that: brilliant! Vibrant, passionate, full of life, great communication between the two musicians. I'm definitely going to listen to this over and over!
