ThisnThatPackRat you got to be kidding me. Actually combat vs Coaching is comparing apples to oranges. It's one thing to talk the talk but it's another to walk the walk. That's like a overweight personal trainer telling you how to lose weight or be fit.

phantom695 see I'm gonna have to stop you right there, because what you just said makes too much sense for KZfaq. I'm sorry but, with all do respect, the entire couch battalion of the KZfaq shithead army does not care if you laid down a rational argument. They just like to sit comfortably at home judging guys and deciding who is "the real deal" and who isn't, especially when they themselves are NOT the real deal by any stretch of the imagination. So I'm going to have to ask you to take your logic, reason, and well laid out arguments over to the real world, because the comment section of KZfaq is reserved *exclusively* for talking shit, thanks.

Today was the first time I tried shooting from a draw position with a timer. I learned alot about my flaws. I was shooting two different pistols at the same range of 10 yds. My average draw was 2.3 seconds. Not all my shots were perfect hits. Love this video and you just got a new sub. Thank you Travis.

Of all my firearm-related youtube subscriptions, yours I look forward to seeing new posts from the most. (as far between as they are) I never get up from one without a snippet of just general life motivation to help me make the most of my weekend. Equating "I hope" with begging, and replacing it with "I will" is so simple and right there, that one can't believe they haven't done that more. Thank you Travis for your service, your experience, and the way you communicate that in a way that mentors and builds-up

I got good at many things with that attitude. Never ever say you can’t do something and if you catch yourself saying “if I ever make it” rephrase it by saying when I make it and any other self defeating dialogue we have. A mental trick I picked up in boxing and track.

Been watching your videos heavily and they've helped a lot. I suck at pistol so I took an private course with an instructor and that in conjunction with your videos has helped me improve leaps and bounds. First few times I shot it was a basketball size grouping shot by an epileptic. Now on my fourth range trip I've got fist sized groups at 7 yards. Slow and steady and mass amounts of repetition has and will continue to help me. Thanks again! Semper Fi.

Been a profesional musician 13plus years. This is what we do to play fast, start very slow, and continue increasing speed, and stay practicing where your error ratio increases. In time, you will master that speed, then continue getting faster. Shooting and playing a music instrument uses almost same fundamentals. This really works.

Great Drill!! I'm using it in my dry fire heavily. At 5 seconds it give me time to have 2 or 3 conscious checks as the gun is coming up. For example I check my elbow position on the grab, Check my support hand placement on its contact and wrist cant as I come to target. After several of draws I might focus on checking C-clamp of grip, wrist cant and isolation of trigger press. Just 2 or three points of checks as the draw flows. As I progress in time, I check fewer items and by 2 seconds I just think "flow". Helped my consistency tremendously. Thank you sir.
