Choosing love over "duty" & suffering severe consequences as a result has been a constant theme throughout Game of Thrones (Rhaegar & Lyanna, Robb & Talisa, Jon & Ygride, Tyrion & Shae, Jaime & Cersei, etc.), this song captures that theme perfectly!

@# The singer was blackmailing Tyrion because he knew that if he told Cersei, Shae would be killed. To prevent this Tyrion has him killed and quite possibly turned into stew. By the way Tyrion talks to Varys when he finds him and Shae talking, It's not crazy to think show Tyrion would have done the same. Book and show Tyrion are pretty similar until around the end of season 4 onwards. It's a shame the crazy intelligent, broken, rock bottom awful Tyrion of the last book wasn't in the show, he hasn't been a meaningful charachter in quite a while on the show

Maybe it broke the illusion a bit, but it was a present for the actor who plays Arya and Ed Sheeran shouldn't have received as much hate as he did. It was a great episode with a beautiful song and a beautiful cover

Because people think he paid his way in so he could brag, or that he was out of place there. I barely recognized him in the scene at first but I just love how Maisie lit up there. Like you can honestly see her face glow with happiness. (which after sass and badassery she was up to till then was a welcomed change and it showed that she is still a little girl even though she is no one)

THIS WAS AWESOME!!! I loved Pentatonix (an acapella group) and I admire them because they made beautiful covers with only five voices... Peter does that one-man a cappella thing often, last time I counted, his channel was about 90% a cappella music, and he has over 150 music videos now! Man Of Honor I'm not interpreting the song. I'm referring to the book. In the book it's about Tyrion and Shea. No interpretation needed. Tyrion has the singer killed and the song was never completed.

Yes, it is about Tyrion. It was sung by Symon Silver-tongue, as a subtle blackmail. Tyrion later has Symon killed, but he remembers the bit Symon sang to intimidate him, and that is the part sung by Ed Sheeran (I guess the original was longer, but we'll never know)

Not even 10 seconds in and I've already liked! I haven't started game of thrones, but I'm currently at my 5th day of band camp with a weak arm from getting blood drawn. And this has calmed me down from the stress of memorizing "dance with somebody" on my flute in less than a half hour. Amazing! Beautiful vocals! Your version of this song is wonderful and full; and Game of Thrones would be lucky to have it included in an episode or featured during credits. I hope you get the licensing all straightened out as I'm sure it will be very successful. I am among the number who find it confusing that Ed Sheeran's GoT performance was controversial. I think he was great & there would not have been so much negativity focused on that character if it had been someone unknown. It's unfortunate that people feel the need to put such hate out there like that. It must have been tremendous work to get this video out so quickly, but it's a beautiful gift to your fans. If you didn’t know, this song wasn’t made for the show or by Ed Sheeran. It is actually from the books, Tyrion sings it to himself after Oberyn’s death in the trial by combat. He also sings to himself when he kills shae in Tywins bed. He strangles her with his hand of the king chain which is a bunch of interlocking golden hands. “Hands of gold are always cold, but a woman’s hands are warm”.

This is beautiful! I love how you are getting more and more varied in the way you conceptualize and carry out the editing, with foreground and background not quite in focus, but the middle (lead you) in crystal focus. Loved the costume(s?) and the balance of the voices, and most of all love how current you can be without losing any of the timelessness and purity of your voice and singing! This to me is a masterpiece, and what on earth could be controversial about it? What does the second verse about "the last of Darry's ten" mean if this is about Tyrion? The wiki says house Darry served the Tully's. How's that tie into Tyrion at all? Johnathan Darry was apparently head of the kingsgaurd under the mad Targaryen king, though, so Jaime was one of his men.
