I had a Vortex Venom sent in since it would no longer power up, Vortex told me they could not fix it and they were out of the the Venom, and would be sending me a Defender ST, excellent VIP warranty and service, the Defender ST was supposed to be going back on a Buckmark, but will be riding on an M18 for now. thanks Vortex.

I recently purchased the Defender ST for my S&W 2206TGT I took out of storage. I will be using this gun for SCSA and Rim Fire Challenge. I have the 6 moa as I wanted it compatible with my Bergara BXR Carbon which has a C-More with 6 moa. Pin point accuracy is not important for these sports. Very nice sight, especially for the money.

Nice update from Vortex for sure. Any gun that you are going to carry (that has a DOT) should have solar back-up imo. For range, plinking, competition, the others are fantastic.

I have 3 pistol red dots: RMRcc, 507C ACSS, and 507K GR. I like the circle dot of the 507K best.

I’ve had a vortex red dot on my AR for years, obviously one of the bigger ones but they’re durable and great quality. I’ll have to look into these

Same, I got an old Vortex Strikefire 2 on a AR for years. Been through close to 8 thousand rounds and still zeroed.

When outside, I prefer the 6 moa to see better in sunny conditions. Inside 3 moa is fine.

Awesome video on the Vortex red dot! I was checking out your website and wow, you guys are on fire. Really makes you wonder what was going through the minds of the folks at Glock when they came up with the G17 longslide design. It's got that "unique" look, if you know what I mean. Can you cover up that not-so-appealing rectangular hole on top of the G17 longslide with a sleek black finish to match the rest of the slide? And from a technical standpoint, would that kind of modification be feasible and safe? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I have a Glock 19x I am having the slide cut with you guys and I bought the suppressor height sights ( 20238-WHI/WHI-AGM-X-SQN Night Fision Perfect Dot Suppressor Height Front & Rear Tritium Sight Set - White Front/White Rear - Fits All Glock Models ) they recommended these through your customer service. Now you said in this video you need more higher sights. What is the exact sights I need to cowitness with the defender st please🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

The Holosun SCS with the Battle Werx mounting screws are perfect for the Glocks standard sights for co-witness.

I have been running the holosun SCS on my glock 45 mos for almost a year now. It's not 450.00 it was 375.00. I didn't have to go and get aftermarket base plate nor suppress high sights. Literally just the optic I had to worry about, sold.

Can I put a Glock 19 gen 5 trigger in a gen 3 glock 19 frame? Will it be reliable? I want a gen 3 glock with a gen 5 trigger in it bc gen 3 has better magazine options

In my opinion I would say Holosun Scs mos . Great low profile dot and you can’t beat Holosun quality

Vortex defender ccw mounts directly. And it doesn't cost $450 like the scs that some people like to recommend

Do yourself a favor put the pyramid trigger in your gen 3 19, I got the professional kit so I got all the different spring and I currently have the 2lb spring in my Gloc, then I paired it with a tungsten guid rod uncaptured I put the 15lb spring on and it’s perfect never have any problems and the trigger in badass better than any Gloc triggers the guns come with worth the money!!! Next I’m doing the Gloc factory threaded barrel and the killer innovations v1 slide!!! Should be on of the best guns I have done so far!!!! 1000 round through on my setup no Jams whatsoever with 115 and 124 grain ammo.

The Gen 5 trigger will not work in Gen 3 frames.

I have never done the apex trigger but the pyramid is on point worth the money!!! With that 2lb spring I will say is ultra sensitive!!! I went with the pro kit because I wanted spring options, another thing is it whet right in I didn’t even have to make any adjustments or mods and this was the first time I had ever taken my Gloc completely apart but it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be…I actually just got back from the range put another 200 rounds through it still no problems!!

I pretty much automatically exclude all optics that do not include an added co-witness in-front of the dot. It's just not worth paying $80-250 for aftermarket heightened fiber optic iron sights when you can find an optic that already has fiber optic co-witness built into the sight's frame. Then it is only a $50-80 purchase for heightened fiber optic front sight instead of the rear co-witness included.

I wont ever try anything ever again from this company , all their products have one thing that's consistent thats the crappy quality . I spent way to much money on several of their products listening to you tube reviews . No need to look passed Holosun if you need decently priced products . Vortex is just flat unreliable when it comes to pistol red dots . save your money

@@sleazykilla360 that's what i thought too when i purchased their products .i feel they buy their good reviews . Ive had nothing but stripped screws , battery failure, moving red dots that dont stay centered and other just stopped working. all my trijicon and Holosun products have no issues at all .
