I don’t know why they don’t put the toyos A/T from the GX 550 on the new Land Cruiser from the factory or at least have them as an option it would make it look so much better

my mom has a hybrid highlander they are safe from electrocuting you when in water because components of the electric motor and other components are concealed in the transmission and then covered by skid plates and the hybrid battery pack will be under the back seat and the traditional 12-volt battery in the left side wall of the cargo area of the SUV and will be safe for water forging in water up to half way up the rocker panel which is the angled black panel that runs from below wheel arch in the front to just behind the rear door jam on both sides of the vehicle so that way it is below the intake and the door seals for most Toyota SUVs but land cruisers fj's and 4runners it can come up to the middle of the wheel center caps!

@@craigkenyon1780 Your mom's Highlander has never crossed a river, or been flooded, I imagine. Plus that is a different hybrid system. I didn't question safety in water. I'm curious about safety when river crossing or potential flooding. The batteries in the LC are right in the back, behind the second row of seats. That and seriously, the Highlander is a unibody car design, never going to be crossing anything other than puddles lol. Also that and experts say to avoid that Highlander hybrid system for sporty use. It is a suburban soccer mom vehicle. The 2 are not the same. I appreciate the reply though!

@@lunamaria1048 it can handle water and it has seen things like many very flooded roads from storms and showed the water no mercy at all and actually it has done mild off-roading I am aware that it's not ideally designed for off roading and yes I know it is a unibody I am not ignorant despite you implying it, I also am well aware of the differences between the systems, by the way my mom's is a 2019 v6awd xle and that thing has major get up and go throttle response I will have you know lastly all Toyota hybrids have the battery below the second row seat whether it may be SUV, crossover sedan, or truck so don't tell me I have no clue what I am talking about ! lastly all 4x4 Toyota hybrids have the same general capabilities when it comes to water foraging with some minor exceptions and alterations! I know everything there is to know about so many different vehicles it would give such a strong migraine it would make your head spin so from gear head to gear head keep yourself inline you f'n bitch!

@lunamaria1048 the land cruiser is still a land cruiser hybrid or not if it could not off road in rivers or handle flooding with the iforcemax system Toyota would not offer it as standard on this model if worried choose the overtrail Lexus gx550 as it is designed to give piece of mind to people like you, plus leather and suede is better for getting wet anyway in my opinion plus leather does not stain as easy in regards to mud clay and spills because it wipes right off! also the land cruiser has a uniquely designed watertight sealed battery compartment that built into the floor as a backup in case the one under the rear seat gets damaged from too much water because Toyota new this could be a potential issue !

You can check used LX570. Can't go wrong with V8 reliability. Only gripe is poor infotainment.

Dealer Allotment’s will be heavily weighted to the largest volume dealerships. Medium volume and small volume dealers will be hit and miss & one will still need to be #1 on their lists with deposits.

@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD It's always a battle between aerodynamics and off road capabilities and I'm not saying that Lexus should make compromises with most of their models, but there is an overuse of off road terms such as TRD Pro (Rav4.. really???) and if you call a version of this Lexus model, "Overtrail" which is implies marketing to Off roaders and overlanders, at least make it as such that instead of "Snippity snip", make parts easily removable and easily modifiable.

@@faheemabbas3965 I prefer the lower cost of the Toyota. Also I prefer the better fuel mileage of the Toyota since it’s a hybrid. Lexus recommends premium on the new GX while Toyota Land Cruiser can use regular. Plus I prefer the Land Cruiser styling.

The twin-turbo V6 in the GX seems far superior to the hybrid in the Land Cruiser.

@@TheVainakhTribesand what’s crazier is that the TTV6 that’s used in the new GX is the same one used in the LC300 but detuned. The LC300 makes 409 HP, while the new GX will make 349 HP. Meaning it’ll actually be more reliable than the LC300. On top of that, it will be built at the same Tahara Japan as the LC300.

What about all the heavy duty trucks that have 6” lifts with 37” tires. Can’t tow for shit, can’t off road for shit, can even hook up any kind of trailer without extensive mods or drop hitches… But people want “that off-road look” that’s what sells. People will go camping and go down dirt roads they want to feel confident when going down a graded dirt road that a mini van can traverse. That’s what most people will do 3-4 times a year and it will handle the snow good and it will sell.

In Australia, It would cost on par with the LC300, but the latter is the better buy especially in the GR Sport trim.
