Thank you Sherry, yes it's really important to me to include beginners and let people know that you don't have to be a perfect stitcher or have a lot of stuff to enjoy the process and get that buzz out of creating something useful and/or beautiful, it's SEW good for the soul :)

The decorative stitching really elevates the look of these bands or scrunchies. Loving these ideas.

Such a fun idea Annie - so many great ideas for this little creation. I have a huge roll of elastic from the reverse art truck so this would be great for this project. 😊 Cheers, Christine

Aww yes such a wonderful idea. Yep this is so gonna go on my list of things I need to make. Sitting through the night here I’m a watcher for mother in-law poor lady had a nasty fall. Was touch and go but today she has turned a corner, so here I sit watching that all is well and she doesn’t try and escape the bed. Great night well morning know only five more hours left of my watch. Gosh catching up on my u tube videos I’m behind with has been wonderful. Room to dark to stitch in as well I want Mum Lister to sleep and heal some more.

I wonder if your list is as long as mine Paula - ooh just realised now I can call you Paula (the Lister) Lister! :) I hope Mum Lister is doing well and getting some rest, it's wonderful that you're taking such good care of her, sending hugs xo

Thank you Annie for your video with another scrap bustin idea. These little scrunchies have so many used in a craft room never mind hair. It's funny my hair was always up for work but I don't own a scrunchie so this will be really useful but also it will be so nice and pretty round a craft room for those little things that need held together . Less expensive eco friendly and prettier than purpose bought plastic ties and clips. Love it.

Thank you so much Carol, I'm so happy you like the idea - I do love how ideas can spring from odd things in those scrap bundles, I don't think it would have occurred to me to make scrunchies otherwise, although I use them for my hair all the time, funny isn't it? :)

Great idea Annie! I have about 300 miles of knicker elastic left from when I made hundreds of face masks (I used lots of stash to cut them out, then passed on to others to assemble). We gave them away to local people who needed them, even having stalls on market days. I have made hair bands in the past, using the cheap hair bands you can buy in shops as a base. I must try to remember how I did those!

At least your knickers will never fall down Sue! :D Doesn't it seem like another life now, when we were all making facemasks, I still have a couple in my coat pocket and handbag, just in case, one day they'll be vintage items, like embroidered hankies are now, and people like us in the future will be cutting them up for their slow-stitching projects! Ooh if you work out the hair bands, please do share, I could do a video on them as well if they're straightforward and handstitchable and you don't mind me sharing :) xo
