My bucket list of quilt patterns keeps growing! Since finding the Jordan Fabrics tutorials this spring, I have started using the weight and it really helps with my accuracy in cutting fabric. I am also carefully and thoroughly ironing my fabric after watching your videos. I love the tutorials and I am excited to start my table runner kit, that came from your store a couple of weeks ago. Wish your store was closer to my home in Maryland! Many thanks, Donna and Matt!!

+ greylady 2 - I agree wholeheartedly with your comment. Donna does a VERY nice job of breaking down the complicated patterns. I don't think I would be brave enought tp attempt this layout with written instructions alone; I need the visuals shown here AND I need the pattern for the measurements to cut the fabric.

I too as it seems most everyone has…….have learned so much watching your well articulated videos !!! Thank you so much !!! Some time ago I had emailed you asking what iron you were using because it seemed todo such a good job, well, you told me and after looking it up to purchase one I found they were quite expensive and more than I could afford but to my great surprise I found one on a local action site so I bid on it not knowing if it was used or if it even worked, I won the bid at $63.00 and when I picked it up, it was still in it’s unopened box with the original price tag of $299.99, I was over the moon……it works like a champ !!!

The next time my four year old grandson comes over for a visit he's going to help sew his first quilt. He saw the one of Donna's trees as we were watching quilt youtubes before he went to sleep and said, "Grandma, I want that one." It was right after Christmas. Donna makes them all doable with her style and instructions. Thank you Donna!

Thanks for yet another helpful instructional video, Donna. The fabrics you choose are lovely, and it's so great that you cover every step of the pattern, especially those pesky setting triangles which because they are cut on the bias can stretch so you need to be extra-careful with them. I really like this "Hanging Gardens" pattern, which I wouldn't know about if you didn't make this set of videos and post them on KZfaq. Thanks again! ~Diana from Toronto

Donna, you gave great instructions for a confident beginner or intermediate sewist in making this otherwise more challenging pattern. I use one of those Martelli rulers with the backing that grips the fabric so it never moves. That way I don't have to worry about long cuts and putting a weight on the end of a ruler.

Ivy, The batik strips are from a jelly roll which are pre-cut to 2 1/2" strips; you don't always have to use a jelly roll, provided you have around 42 strips of complimentary fabrics, cut those. it saves you doing a lot of cutting, you might have to sub-cut that's all. The thing i like about Jordan Fabrics, is their strips are straight-edged and not pinked, plus Matt does a great job of putting collections together.
