No, he doesn't because we usually do our best to distract him and give him other appealing choices! We can lock the door from the outside but got out of the habit about a year ago when he never tried going in there anymore (he used to go in and press the buttons and stop the washing machine mid-cycle!). After this past Saturday, we're back to locking it!

He is now off the diet; I think I did a video about it last year. We do not currently take his device out and about with us but it's something I would like to try soon.

He has not been to the beach since very, very young, but I think he would enjoy it! If we ever get to go to a beach with him, I'll definitely make a video!

@@KelliKyle yea do it! Maybe you don't live very near to the beach. Sea is so relaxing and fantastic! And walking the shoreline looking for shells...throw each other sandballs and then run into the sea 😁 Picnic at the lighthouse, and other beautiful things I do with my children. @@KelliKyle oh, OK I wasn’t sure what you used I use what’s called a nosy cup because due to a genetic condition that I have, that’s really rare eyedrop stuff sometimes because my hands jerk due to my chronic seizures the condition I have is called Lebers Ambrosius optic atrophy syndrome it’s really rare or LCA as we call it it’s very rare and hard to find at first they thought I had optic nerve hypo pleasure but I did not. Then they thought I had Septo optic dysplasia, but I did not have it then they found the gene that I have which is levers or LCA, which is Ken to retinitis pigmentosa I basically have the RPG but the type of gene that I have is called liber, it causes blindness, seizures, intellectual disability. Sometimes it causes some brain anomalies. Sometimes it does that’s a rare case but that’s what I have. It can also cause short scratcher and some orthopedic issues but mine orthopedic problems came from mild CP. I also wear AFO so much fun. Anyway, I hope Kyle’s OK after that small seizure he had I know what that’s like. Hope you guys have an amazing Christmas and hope to see a Hotel tour part two that would make me very happy. I love those two Hampton Inn and suites is awesome. They’re amazing. I love that place. Oops I meant stat. Sorry about that. I’m using my phone to type.

That's a great question! No, Kyle will not sit still long enough to enjoy a movie together. He loves watching KZfaq videos and children's shows (like Blues Clues & Barney) but will watch 30 second - 2 minute segments before stopping and rewatching the same parts over and over, or skipping to a different segment. We've tried to get him interested in movies before but with no success.

@@KelliKyle Does he like snacks during the day? If so, what does he like. By the way, I found it hilarious when he was trying to turn off the massage chair. So funny! He's such a smart kid!

It's not rude at all to ask a question like this! ☺️ I absolutely have had moments where I've wondered about things like this. I try not to linger on those thoughts too long, as it can cause me to sink into some painful emotions. And although I wouldn't "change" Kyle's personality, I would absolutely take away this disorder, and the symptoms it causes, if I could. ❤️

He turned 17 on March 21.

Autism is part of his diagnosis of Syngap1 but he does not have ADHD.

It's a goal I have for him! It's not so easy because he perseverates on certain buttons on the talker and then it can become a distraction and cause behavior problems. I'll make a video one day when we become successful in taking it with us. ☺️

He was at the doctor yesterday and his weight is perfect! It's genetic...I was terribly thin in my teenage years. His gait is about the same...it probably looks worse due to his growth spurt and long limbs! He's 6'2" now.

My grandson with C.P is too skinny too, it’s about muscle tone too if they have low muscle tone they can look thin. My grandson has hollow legs he eats plenty and never gains weight.

@@flossyflue4305 yes, muscle tone is definitely a factor. Kyle eats a lot and we make sure he's getting an adequate amount of fats, proteins, and calories per day.

@@KelliKyle ok just concerned that’s all since he seemed like he lost weight this year, if the doctor said he’s ok then it should be fine!
