I come from a racquetball background. With no net or tin, the object is much more so... kill or be killed. What I see is about 5-7 opportunities for El Tayeb to go for a volley drop into the nick. I'm not coming from a total lack of knowledge. Gaultier, Shabana, Farag, Ashour all were excellent at the volley drop into the nick. So, if you are going to end up losing the point, does it cross your mind... why not go for it, so that destiny is determined on my racquet? On occasion, why not?

It could depend on many things, here it may have been more beneficial to tire the opponent than to win the point. Or it establishes a pattern that the opponent expects so that variety is more advantageous

@@A5t3n987 well.... Tayeb was the one getting tired out and lost the point, so why not go for a volley drop from time to time?
