You had to remind me of Fancy Gap . I broke down just as I got to the top in the morning fog. Two or three rigs passed me by… boy was I all alone up there. A trooper with lights on even passed me by. About an hour later I tried the engine and she fired! I nursed it all the way down….as I passed one rig rear-ended the other right to the back of the cab. The trooper was apparently responding to the crash….guess I was lucky after all. Wow!

I attended CDL school in 2019, and was fortunate to drive some relatively old iron. Including KW cabovers, and an ‘86 Pete 359. I have to say, that 359 was a bunch of fun to drive around, even with a trailer… Small cab, so the visibility was quite good, nimble too. 9-speed that was so worn in, it would just drop right into gear. One of the instructors joked that the gear would fall in like an old hooker. lol
