Thank you again so much for making these videos so other owners can know what to anticipate with the aurgery. Almost a decade later and they're still helping people. All dogs are amazing but Hank is a little extra special, helping other dogs feel better post surgery. He's kind of a hero. Thank you!

So mu little 7 month had the MPL surgery 1 month ago and we're now moving into week 5, I was just wondering how long was Hank on cage rest for? and when did the outdoor walks start?

Hank has recovered so well, and it's been over a year now since his surgery, that I don't feel I can give you accurate answers to your questions. I forget how hard it actually was. I do know that if you watch my 11 videos in order, you will find great helpful information, as I recorded his recovery from day 1, and each week as he progressed with his rehab. Sorry, it is so far from my mind that I do not have the answers for you from my memory. I hope you can find your answers in my videos. It's worth taking the time and doing it right so your pup doesn't fall into faulty compensation patterns and imbalanced muscles movements.

I did watch your videos and it did help me a great deal while dealing with this, but where Hank is so calm my Jerry is a ball of activity. He was an active dog before but putting him in a cage has made him frustrated as well as active, which makes him too hyper. I guess I'm just still nervous as I don't want to rush too fast as to damage something inadvertently or to go too slow and not give him proper time to build muscle.

Hank's favorite treats helped center him during our activities. He knew he had to concentrate to get the treat :) Keep Jerry moving in safe healthy ranges. No jumping or climbing stairs. Work on "slow" walking so it forces him to transfer his weight to each side evenly. This will all pass and he will be back to normal in time. It takes a lot of patience :)
