It's so sad about Hank Williams! I deal with chronic pain every day. No one knows what it's like. People automatically class you as a drug addict,alcoholic. Great vlog! I’ve been a Hank Williams and Hank Williams Jr fan all my life. When I was born I was born with Spina Bifida but a different kind. With mine I can’t walk. But when I first found out about Hank’s spina bifida I thought it was pretty cool that I could relate to him.

So sad about Hank Williams, my parents loved him, Waylon and Willie amongst many other country western stars of the time. I live with fibromyalgia, pain is very difficult to live with most don’t understand until they get there, knees and back also but you have to carry on, not ready to give in. This was great Jordan. It's all about Hank and Patsy! I was lucky enough to meet Hank Williams daughter about 30 years ago I believe it was. I used to write country songs and I met her in my music teachers recording studio. I knew that Hank had chronic pain and I feel for him. I've had severe chronic pain for 15 years and it is very debilitating and it really wears you down. I think Hank was ready to go. He was 29 years old but he looked like a man in his mid-50s. It's like Judy Garland, poor thing was I think 47 when she died and she looked 75. Sometimes you're just done with life. I feel that way myself sometimes and I think people sometimes choose when to check out, and I don't mean suicide, but they can will themselves dead. I think Hank was done with life.

Thank you for doing this vlog Jordan. I love Hank Williams S.R music. He had Spina Bifida Occulta, my father was born with it also and deals with back pain every day. He has had 3 surgeries on his back and still has bad back pain. But luckily my dad never has drank. I became a fan of Hank's through my grandpa who was a huge fan, he was just getting out of the army when Move it on Over came out. Hank's autopsy revealed hemorrhages in the heart and neck, his cause of death was listed as insufficiency of the right ventricle of the heart. I often wondered if Hank was even aware that something was wrong with his heart? Safe Travels Jordan.

For the longest time my parents only let us watch the Andy Griffith show and Lawrence Welk!

I have been to Hank's grave and have seen the car he died in at the Hank Williams Museum in Alabama. But I need to travel the road where he died. There will never be another Hank Williams.

In college, we'd go to WV to whitewater raft. I recall while we were going up to the launch point in the bus, our guide pointed out the window to the town below and identified the spot where Hank was found dead in the backseat.

One of the oddest(best in my opinion) things about North Carolina is hotdogs and hamburgers all the way is with nothing but chili, slaw, and either mustard or mayonnaise on them... Now that I'm back in Florida I still prefer my hotdogs and hamburgers like that... Good stuff Jordan...Thanks for sharing!!!!

I know a lot about Hanks last ride, unfortunately like much of history, there are conflicting accounts. I stick with Charles Carr, he was the driver and I think his version of the final hour's are probably the most accurate. I enjoyed seeing the auditorium in W. Virginia, where Hank was scheduled to appear. Your video gave me an unexpected surprise, it's a beautiful art deco style structure.

I had no idea he had spina bifida. Thank you for the information like I said, I had no idea.

Enjoyed the quick visit to Mt. Airy. Have you considered visiting Manteo, NC -- Roanoke Island, Andy's place of retirement? He's also buried there. Lots of American history too.

Totally love Mt. Airy. If you drive out of there into VA on the parkway there is the coolest place called Mabry’s mill. It is secluded and peaceful and just very neat with all the old mill and farm implements. Can’t remember if you went in the soda shop when you were there before but, if not, it is definitely worth it. I know you came thru Augusta, GA and did the James Brown tour-wish you would come back here. There is so much else to see in the Augusta, NA, Aiken area. Would definitely love to say hi if you ever come thru the area. Could give you some ideas of what to see and the background on it or give your the “tour”. You definitely can’t see it all in one day! Safe travels!
