Katelyn is a beast on the track in CC, but comparing times to this race is terrible, as it's a very slow race (timewise) by their standards.

@@billjames8036Indeed, and she did it running from the front for a fair bit of it, and on one of those undulating indoor tracks with very tight bends, so I think on balance she’s got a bit more left given her age (21) and rate of progress to date. She is getting quicker and quicker. Her 8:35 was a very good run, as was this. Head to head I think the Tuohy might still have the edge, and by the time they meet she’ll be hardened through competition, and Klein will be 30! PS Not a Yank, just an interested Athletics fan.

@@tokenjoy this was a tactical race, not a race for a record. with someone going towards 8:33 or faster, the result will have been different.

And 20 year old keely Hodgkinson (now 21) is an Olympic silver medalist at barely 20 and would be destroying the NCAA field in any meet anywhere in the 800 m if she were an American college student.
