I think because of the place, zach and hannah did it because of the "love of summer", and i think this is the reason that hannah didnt speak that in season 1, because she didnt consider this relationship so strong, and in my country is like "calentura del verano", and clay and hannah didnt have sex because they are in the house of jessica and the people of this party make that hannah remember this bad things...

But yeah, i think that zach is a good person, but is so bad this relationship, because not have sense for the season 1

I think they were perfect for each other and obviously both regreted breaking it off. I mean at their "break up" scene both were hurt. Hannah suggested they break up and was hoping he wont agree (you could see the disappointment on her face when he said okay) and Zack thought she doesn't want them to be together anymore so he agreed obviously hurt by her suggestion of splitting up..... I felt so sad for them both because you could tell they cared for one another and loved each other. They saw the real 'them' and they adored each other despite their flaws. Their relationship was beautiful and I like how they kept it for themselves and not let it be scared by anyone else. Its sad tho .... how they never got what they deserved. And its so sad knowing that Zack kept her picture all this time, probably still loving her and missing her. Can't even come to imagine what he must have felt all this time.

Lady Autie YAAAAS! When no one saw Hannah's pain, he saw it. Maybe he felt it in his skin. He always checked her but he was too afraid to explain his feelings to her. Also, everyone acts like they just slept together and Clay&Hannah shared more beautiful things; but they read books, watched films, talked about their feelings. They shared everything together.

Zack and Hannah were a grown up couple, realizing not everybody is perfect and listening to each others problems. As for Clay, he was living up with this image of pure and innocent Hannah.

Jaehyun's Dimple yes, and he gave up trying a proof that bryce is a rapist when he learned Hannah and Zach slept, it is so childish. You should love somebody via all mistakes, and scars not just beautiful parts. Because of it, I believe that Zach's love was more real than Clay's.

That's why he is ashamed of himself for letting her think that he was ashamed of their relationship. because as he said he is not one to talk about his thoughts and feeling openly, he doesn't know how to express himself that's why when Hannah said they should end it, he just agreed with her. Zach is a good person, he is not perfect he has flaws and all he is lonely. remember in s1? when hannah said 'He's Zach Dempsey does he really need compliments?" that statement was so powerful that it made me think that Zach like most of the kids nowadays, like Hannah puts up a mask letting this society puts a label on us on him that he's zach dempsey he's this and that wow he has perfect life. . . Every character in 13rw makes you rethink and relate makes you want to understand them to know their own reasons their story... even Bryce Walker.

sometimes if nothing is official yet it's possible to fall for two people at the same time. It sounds bad but it happens. Like, hannah and clay aren't dating. And there are people that we just click with instantly while there are others whom we have slow bake relationships. Just my two cents :) but I agree that someone should've know hehe and they should have put in some clues on this on season 1 to make it more seamless ;)

And also, when Hannah tried to sleep with Clay, she had flashbacks of Justin trying to assault her, yet she asks Zach to sleep with her, and they did it repeatedly

i think it's because they both said they wanted to keep this relationship to themselves so that it is just theirs. if say hannah were to put zach on the tapes about choosing his friends over her then she'd have to tell about their whole relationship for it to make sense.
