While it's possible to trade throughout the year, there is a massive drop in activity during Christmas season and in the summer. So yeah people avoid those times because your money gets tied up in trades that may not move for ages (not suitable for day traders). As a swing trader, it doesn't affect positions too much.

Awesome vid, however.....The meaning of life part that you shared at the end was so real and personal and gave real insight into your higher motivations and really the only answer anyone can give to that question, which is the meaning of their own personal journey. If you tube had a double like button I would have hit that then (I had already hit the like button at the start again... Lol)

Okay you're cute. Letting your account compound is actually great, small lot sizes start generating more and you get to hold on to trades longer which is useful for bigger time frames like weekly and monthly

There's definitely good reasons not to trade on monday and friday. It depends on your personal strategy and the context you are following. For example, if you're looking to trade a weekly distribution, mondays tend to create the manipulation seen on the opening of the weekly candle while fridays tend to create the close of the weekly candle (ICT power of 3), so getting in on a friday with the intention to take advantage of a weekly move makes zero sense. Only way you would make sense of trading on fridays is if you are looking to take advantage of the daily range. Context is key and knowing when not to trade is one of the highest skills of trading, but i know most people have the wrong reasons for not trading on those days and hide behind them as an excuse.
