God bless you Hannah! It’s been absolutely eye opening learning with ICT. My advice is keep it simple, and don’t force a PD array. I’ve found that what your eyes naturally gravitate to is what suits your personality.

Hannah it's really good to hear about tangent's I strongly identify, learning new concepts and knowledge but then going full circle to how I traded when I first started. I would get frustrated at these tangents but know I see that they are part of jr process!

Started learning ICT on September because of you. My first strategy was BTMM, hence i easily connected with ICT concepts. My trading has definitely improved a lot. Funny thing, i look for SMT in every setup.

What a wonderful quote and so true; Life (like Price Action) is full of pullbacks that enable us to regroup, refocus, and then get back into our positions ready for the next push Lol Another amazing vid. Magic keys for MT4/5 or Trade Assistant will be something you might consider to help you calculate lot sizes and even have features like auto partials and auto breakeven.

I have been studying ICT's free and paid mentorship materials since 2016, and I very much agree that you have to keep it simple. I struggled with my personality, time available, and trading lower timeframes for years. The results were mixed, especially trying to implement all the techniques he shows. I was over doing it. I'm working now with a simplied approach by using a top-down approach and looking at just a couple markets starting with the DXY. Slowing down and focusing has helped me also to become more patient and not feeling like I need to be in a trade all the time. If you have seen the trading models in the charter member's lectures, model 6 and 7 which is his short term (one shot one kill) methods have matched my trading personality the best and are keeping me from over trading. Good luck with your studies and keep us up to date on your progress.

breakers and PD arrays are necessary for sure bc thats the "why" behind why traders who use breakout and retest strategies find success and it works sometimes and other times not. youll usually find a breaker is whats become the "support" after the breakout. knowing BPRs as well is hugely beneficial in logic of how price will move at a POI. but breakers are a very common practice that I highly recommend to spot bc people fall into the trap of not seeing a breaker and will prevent price from filling in a FVG sometimes and they dont get their entry.

I like how you break down how see the markets from 1 day to 1m👌. I take trades on the 1hr chart, to see the overall market and where the market heading I use the 4hr and 1 day chart 👍

Open up the options in your r/r tool put in your risk amount, should auto tell you your lot size after you have set up your trade from entry to stop

YAS hannahr! So proud of you! Free tip for SMT: Use it only as a continuation confirmation of the current move. Look for the SMT as DXY/EU return to a fair value gap in the form of a retracement. That is the place to spot the divergence. I don't recommend using it for reversals personally :)
