As a biochemist who works with ascorbic acid (vitamin C), storing it in the fridge will expand its lifespan significantly. It also isn't going bad in the sense that it's spoiling (being infected), just losing its potency. So applying twice the dosage will compensate for half of the active compound remaining.

I just recently realized myself how much packaging can make me not want to use a product. It's seems so silly on the surface, but honestly I am not here trying to fight myself on it anymore. I got rid of all the products with packaging I don't like and have noted it for future purchases.

Lipstick drawer trick: move that grid 1 width off the edge of the drawer and pinch an additional row of sticks there. 1 stick width off the front of the drawer too and get an extra in each row. Negative space created by org products is easy to overlook! Thx for sharing this effort. Always inspires me to do the same.

Drawer inserts might be useful to keep things from rustling around and keep the drawers organized for longer. Or you could try a non-slip mat for the same effect

Highly recommend getting silicone, felt, or foam drawer liners! Your products won’t roll or slide around as much!

Hannah you might like small bamboo organizer boxes. They are in Amazon’s drawer organizer department. I saw them as I worked on my kitchen. The rectangular ones would hold the eyeliner and lipliner pencils. The squares or rectangular boxes could corral small singles of eyeshadow and blush. Larger stuff might be corralled with the expandable drawer dividers. I use a system like that so I can see everything at a glance- no stacks to lose track. Mine are a dollar store plastic that I was using to see if I liked the idea. I do! So they will be donated. But whether it’s clear plastic or the softer sounding bamboo--when I open my makeup drawers everything stays in its section and doesn’t rumble and rattle out of their boundaries.
