I think that’s something I miss about Harrod’s, F&M, and others. The effort put into shop displays. The prices can make your eyes water but the visuals are absolutely stunning. As you noted, you can always look for free. Thank you for starting the countdown with such lovely things! Very excited to see what’s to come. Family tradition for me Christmas decorating starts Thanksgiving evening while you have all the men in the family in one place you can get all of your boxed from the attic and start putting up lights on the outside on Black Friday while all the ladies are out shopping. Then little by little everything is put out by Dec 10.

I would be overwhelmed by choice if had the budget to shop for Christmas decorations at Harrod’s. In my fantasies I’d live in a large house with multiple trees. A food themed tree in the kitchen, a London themed tree in the hall, a felted animal tree in the library, a glitzy gold tree in the living room…..Ah, I can dream.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I'm starting to feel Christmassy - I always do in November. I personally don't put Christmas decorations up until the middle of December. BUT saying that I've been buying Christmas presents for a few weeks. I like to plan ahead and make sure that I'm not buying my family Christmas gifts on credit.

Oh yes, Hannah, you're right, it's a bit strange to see the Christmas decorations in the department store in November, but here in Germany we already have Christmas sweets in the store from September! It's just like that, you have to accept it. and the decoration looks really, really nice but is also really, really expensive. As you say, it is actually best suited as a gift 😉

When we were still living in the UK, I quite often bought a Christmas pudding from Harrods . They are lovely.

Yay! It’s that time and no one does it like Hannah. Excited. Friday nite, some wine and Christmas in London. I decorate after November 11, Remembrance Day in Canada.

I was in Harrods many years ago, but have to say I was somewhat overwhelmed, so much stuff!

In Canada our Thanksgiving is second Sunday/Monday in October, so far too early to buy Christmas decorations or display in my home. I decorate first week of December. But stores put up decorations day after Halloween November 1st here. Some shops still have not decorated or started. Cologne and Cotton always has some nice decorations as well as Conran shop. The food you bought looks delicious.

In the US, many of us start decorating before Thanksgiving ... around mid-November. And Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving, at least it is here.

YAY! Hannah has started her Christmas blogs... I can start decorating now. It takes me a month to put everything up (a room at a time) and I enjoy them for a month before taking everything down over a long weekend in Jan. Im also going to hunt out some fancy stores in Melbourne to try and get the London vibe , miss the "Old Country" so much this time of year. The cold weather and darkness for Christmas light magic, F & M., Liberty and Harrods. So thankyou Hannah for all the effort you put into your videos and the time spent out of your day for editing all for our pleasure. By the way, love the ear rings.

We put our decorations up at the beginning of December. We have 3 trees this year - a traditional one, one that is sea creature themed(we live in Queensland Aus 😁) and this year I bought a small tree to do a Harry Potter themed one(nerd alert 🤣). Shame about the roast and it did look good! Love all your videos.

In Argentina the tradition is to put up the tree and the decorations on the 8th of December 😊

Love visiting London's high end stores at Christmas. I love Liberty and F&M. This is when I miss home the most. In my home the decorations go up on the 1st of December and come down on the 1st of January. I do put a few trees up and a few are themed. I am loving the outdoor theme and being a chef any food items on another tree in the kitchen. Thanks Hannah, love your easy honest observations.

I don’t decorate in November. I do it closer to Christmas whenever I start a bit of entertaining. Used to have a big party but don’t do it anymore. As I live in Canada Thanksgiving is in October not November like the US.

Hi Hannah My decs go up on the 20th Dec. always been that date since my mum passed on 18th, so I wait couple of days then put them up❤ It was always a joyous Christmas in our house growing up, and I try to do the same type of things 🥰🥰🥰🎄I have the Combi van gingerbread type decoration, it was a bit expensive but Will last and maybe my son can use it in future years as a deco ❤️❤️🎄

I loved the felt Santa with reindeers and it was a decent price. I always love older vintage style glass baubles. I start decorating my house at the end of November but don't get my live tree until December 15 - then I leave it up 3-4 weeks. They grow Christmas trees in the mountains near me so I can get away with the late start. This year I am doing red, white, gold and silver with straw - so very Scandinavian.

Swedish Christmas peaks on 24 December - with family, food and Father Christmas! The first Sunday of Advent comes about four weeks before Christmas. That's when people light the first candle in the Advent candlestick, a custom going back to the 1890s. This is always a special event, eagerly awaited. 🎄🤘🏼🎅🏻🤘🏼🎄🎁

We call them Baubles in New Zealand and Australia as well. Love watching the northern hemisphere Christmas videos since it’s almost summer here it’s a very different feeling at Christmas.
