You truly are my favourite guide to my favourite city and the only person who can entertain me describing tea towels and stuffed bear! I stayed about three blocks from Harrod’s on my last London trip. I confess I actually got lost in there and could envision the headlines of “ tourist found after weeks of window shopping”! YES!!! We LOVE longer!!! I'm sure you hate them as they take longer to edit, but they are amazing! Hannah, you need to come to South Africa and do the wine route near Cape Town. Our wines are sensational and the area is beyond beautiful! 5 Pounds is the average for a GOOD bottle at the shops... perhaps 10 to 15 in a restaurant. LOL... 2.50 in a really upmarket theatre for a glass. Plus you can stay at the Waterfront and look out to the sea... or back to the mountain. Soooo worth it... even the 11 hour flight. But seriously, thanks for another sensational vlog. They are the highlight of my weekend! Plus, summer time means we get them an hour earlier! LOL. Stay safe and Happy Easter! Hope the hunt is amazing and the young ladies LOVE it!

What you referred to as Aztec details is in fact Egyptian, put in place when Mohamed Al-Fayed bought Harrods in 1985. Even thought it is owned by the state of Qatar since 2010 they have kept the design. Apart from that, a very fun video! Thank you.

Aaah, Keeping Up Appearances - a legendary British TV Comedy! I have recently completed a version of the lovely theme music to that show to perform in my concerts! When I worked in retail (in Chichester) before the pandemic hit, Dame Patricia Routledge was a regular customer! She is everything you'd expect her to be in real life - kind but no nonsense and sharp as anything! You don't get on the wrong side of the Dame, you'll soon know if you do !!! One of my former Music Teachers and in recent years Music colleagues as a Pianist - did a show some months back now where Patricia was a narrator - he said that he daren't risk trying to tell her one of his infamous jokes - you don't mess with her! In another amusing story, I was once at a lecture day about the British Music Hall Era. A section was dedicated to "obituaries", showing clips to pay tribute to certain acts and one off specials. Somehow, the video of Dame Patricia singing "I want to sing in opera" (on KZfaq) ended up in this section - and so I felt duty bound to tell Dame Patricia next time I saw her in the shop. I believe the Event Organisers got a bit of a talking to as a result !! I'll get up to London again this Summer to look around - even though the prices are just bleugh at the moment with the so called cost of living crisis .... I must also visit the National Trust properties in London while I have a membership. Thank you for giving us ordinary folk a taste of celeb luxury Madame Ricketts. Enjoy your "whoops" shoes! C
