The first time i went to Dallas it was a cold January morning and there was a little bit of black ice and a light dusting of snow. While we sat it the lobby of our horrible hotel, eating our green egg continental breakfast, the morning news captured footage of a pickemup truck, i think it was going down 30 out by Arlington, it started to slide a little bit, classic overcorrection, fishtailed a little bit, then gently slid into a shallow ditch on the side of the highway. Very benign traffic situation overall. Not a joke, they must have shown that same clip like seventeen times during the 45 minutes we were sitting there eating our green egg continental breakfast and discussing our plans for the coming day. This apparently was demonstrative of this catastrophic winter storm that held all of Texas in a trip of terror.
