There's really a genre of music called "Kammermusik" in German ([de] "Kammer" = [en] "chamber"/ "room" = [de] "Zimmer") / "Chamber music" translates back to "Zimmer-Musik"! ;)

The first feeling I got from this piece of music was that it was a love story and it fit in perfectly. At the end of the movie, it gave me a strange feeling to see Chani being betrayed/disappointed by Paul at the end. Several emotions of love, disappointment and suffering were mixed together. The music and the film implemented it perfectly, I've never seen or felt anything like it.

Grandiose!

@@piotrmarecki700 Grandiose! From death to life, from pain to glory, hope is eternal and the world is endless. Beyond the vast, burning deserts, the powerful, murderous winds sing and carry away everything, fears, hatreds, joys and sorrows... The desert cancels everything, the sun's bite evaporates souls and takes them far away into the nameless immensity, to the ends of time... This is what this music is all about, what we feel when faced with the universally sacred, with melancholy beauty, with our awareness of the absolute...

this movie had a music ? just watched it and at the end all I could think about is that david lynch movie was better (even if it doesn't follow the books) and and.....I could hear it's theme in my head I haven't watched it in 10 years, bad or forgettable scores are one of the hidden reasons modern movies "fail" even if I liked Gilles part 1 and 2, if you don't hear the theme when thinking of the movie it's a fail for me, a good score and dialog is 90% of a movie you can listen to a movie and lose very little imagination does the rest, the opposite is not true, anyway great work enhancing the "good" parts as usual :)
@GillesNuytens19 күн бұрын
I haven't watched it yet but you are right, for most of the modern movies, I have to search for a music after having seen them... Sometimes I listen to the soundtrack and find nothing interesting. Once I watch the movie, it's still "mehh...", when I relisten to the soundtrack afterward, I say... hmmm, yes maybe, I'll have a deepest check. And then I finally find something interesting after several checks. Once all is put together, it's nice. But it's not obvious in the first place as it used to be in the golden age of film music (80's). And yes, they underestimate the power of good entertaining music like we had in the 80's. A good music theme makes the film unforgettable. And yet, they still don't get that at Hollywood (and basically everywhere else). But the people of today say it's "cheesy". No it's not. They're now so used to bland music that they find everything else "cheesy". Sick.
