If we're gonna deviate from our style of play, it's gonna be difficult for our Masia to help us. The upcoming youngsters are accustomed to the Barca style of play from a young age, I just hope flick can integrate our next masia stars like Bernal and Guille Fernandz, Faye well into the 1st team.

@@talkfootballhd I was always for pro Xavi, Well TBH, it doesn't matter which philosophy Flicks brings in or whether his philosophy will match with our identity. The traits you mentioned above are great for building a winning team, But the real question is whether Flick is ADAPTABLE or not or can he bring this adaptability among the players, Well I don't know, Times have changed when any 1 philosophy would work for decades and teams trying to replicate and implement the same winning philosophy for their team. Nowadays the Football Tactics are changing at a much faster rate, managers have to change their tactics within the games, And the absolute necessity is ADAPTABILITY. Xabi Alonso's success this season is adaptability, They never relied on any 1 tactics rather they adapted according to their opponents. Even Xavi has adapted many times.

you are right brother ... fermin or gavi will be key as per flick ... But one thing i want to mention clinically Flick use 3 man in build up actually either 2 cb 1dm or 2cb and gk , in bothe bayerne and barca we have the best ball playing gk so we can assure that position , if we do so then what you said the vertical attk play we can provide where we out numbered in opposition half. and also we need a perfect lw who can open up the p[itch and press the opposition. I think you missed the point that Flick's team might loose the ball due to direct pass but they recover the ball as well bcz their 2 wing press and cut the outline of the opposition which we need to adapt. we cant so much dependable on 17 years lamine. that's why we need a lw who can do this.

Exactly cuz flick's team recovery and physicality was better. I didn't say it cuz that's a given, isn't it? Every Barca fan knows that's a big problem for their club. Flick uses Wingers and Fb to press aggressively and has a relatively lot ppda. That's what the term counter pressing and high turn overs mean. Cheers bro. Great comment

I think under Flick, Barca will have to have more box to box midfielders in their midfield. Pedri will also have to improve his defense. Even the players in final thirds need to press more aggressively

muller was crucial in flick's game plan , the main reason bayern's players were able to get into the opponent's box is because of muller's dummy runs so flick would probably ask barca to sign a dummy runner or an anti number 9. lewy is not like kane, he drops but only to link up and not create. in flicks system, barca would need more b2b players or a dummy runner. otherwise it would be hard for flick to manage and the players to adapt.

Double pivot would be more suitable because of the defensive vulnerabilities of the team. But the thing is barca don't have players to play in a double pivot. Because gundo used play as a cdm when he was in dortmund but now his Playstyle has changed a lot.

Flick will use DP to build up. But in transition one of the pivot usually the constructive one stays deeper. But Barca hasn't got the profile to form Flick's pivot yet.

La liga is different than Budesliga, here teams can defend better and most of the time sits in low block leaves very little space. Look at how Lewa struggled. So it will be challenging for Flick to implement his style. He gotta adopt which might take time. I don’t have too many expectations at this point. Let’s see how the season begins.

what i think is that dejong can do good as the dm in this system. under xavi he had to fill in the position of busquets which was tough but under this system his role will reduce. the way you mentioned about the type of dm we need, i feel like de jong can do that very nicely. he can distribute the ball very well, as he hangs around the midline he'll always be fresh to recover the ball. he just needs to get more defensive which i think isnt that hard as he played as CB for us a couple of times. what concerning is can he bring in the physicality flick needs? i feel if he gets that sorted he'll fill in well

I think he's going to retain Cancelo on top of Balde coming in from injury as a backup as wingbacks are going to play an important part in his games. Also the pairing of Kounde with Yamal also will be a point to notice, if that doesn't work out he might as well try to bring in more attacking rwb in nature like frimpong or dumfries maybe? Not getting disposed and ability to build up play are two things bro. For ex. Bernardo doesn't gets disposed, but you always can't build up play with him as a Pivot in first thirds. Similarly, Foden, or Musiala. Barca needs a good balance in that profile especially if Frenkie leaves. Otherwise you can always pair that guy with him or Gundo in Double pivot deeper. Cheers.

Hansi Flick believes in physicality of players and play aggressively. Here players like Fermin lopez , Gavi etc will show what flick believes in but , again there will be a draw back in that lb position of Balde where that physicality lacks and if we put Cancelo at the position then the RB position will be conserved by Kounde. Then Barca should look for a good cb coordinating with Aroujo as we have seen Kounde performing good at RB position. So, in my view barca should sign a good CB(we can't just relay on 17 years Cubarsi always as Inigo Martinez was very disappointing), CDM(main target) and a LW because Flick also believes in wing attacks in which Barca lacks. You cannot change at once but you can try to change with time and improve and should learn from past mistakes.

I really don't know how flick's system is gonna work with la masia players who most of them are instilled with the tiki taka style of play( opposite of flicks Verticality)
