This song came out in 1980 It was one of my favorite songs off the motion picture sound track for the movie Xanadu. The whole album was good.

Jeff's singing voice and technique is just about the best in pop and rock history. Anything he layed down in the studio he could reproduce on stage.

I think this is a wonderful interpretation of Jeff Lynne's beautiful vision for the world - all ages, races and creeds being together and having fun through music -"Everybody moving to the beat." It is hard not to be moved to tears seeing people having fun and being together after we have all been cooped up and away from each other for so long. "Everybody come along with me" - yes, we look forward to the day when this will be normal again.

Love Xanadu. I admit it. One of the very fun songs from the movie. ELO and Olivia Newton John split the musical contributions to the film. Her song Magic, is also featured and you might know that one.

This is from the "Xanadu" soundtrack, with ELO and Olivia Newton-John. Most of the dancing videos are choreographed to the song but not all of them.

ELO is my 2nd favorite group of all time after ABBA. I love many of their songs. But this one is my favorite of all. You can't beat the sound, the sentiment, or the way it makes you feel good to be alive! Which reminds me - sometime check out their song "Im Alive" also from Xanadu. The video will have Olivia Newton John and others coming out of a mural. They are muses coming to life. That is my other favorite ELO song. It is so amazing!

those are FLASH MOBS but actually it is co ordinated by dance groups all over the world it would take weeks of practice to co ordinate and sync up like that some may be genuine just join ins but most would be co ordinated and taught

This is from the Xanadu soundtrack. For the original "video" look up Gene Kelly, Olivia Newton John and you will pull up the song from the movie where Gene Kelly's older character gets a makeover. The song is from 1980. All of this footage is from recent flash mobs over the years.

Flash mob is what you're looking for. By the way, the song is from the soundtrack of a movie called "Xanadu" which came out in 1980. Decent movie although some of the acting is a bit weak. Soundtrack is awesome written, as I understand it, mostly by Jeff Lynne.

Half the songs were done by ELO. ONJ's longtime songwriter and record producer, John Farrar, wrote and produced all of ONJ's songs for the movie "Xanadu" except the title track. He wrote and produced “Magic”, “Suddenly”, “Suspended in Time”, “Whenever You’re Away From Me”, “Dancin’” (the mashup with the Tubes), and “Fool Country”. He also wrote "You're the One that I Want" and "Hopelessly Devoted to You" for the movie "Grease". He wrote many other hits and album tracks for ONJ.

how nice to see you again now with songs by E.L.O. which is also in my favorite groups "All over the world" is a beautiful song, very danceable, that is part of the soundtrack of the movie "Xanadu" in that movie E.L.O. along with Olivia Newton John share the title song: "Xanadu" it's great for a next reaction another suggestion is "Confusion" "Last train to London" PS: I take this opportunity to ask you not to leave your reactions to ABBA you were following it by chronology and you came to 1979 with "Chiquitita" they await you, among others "Gimme gimme gimme" (that Madonna asked him to make her her hit "Hung Up") "The winner takes it all" "Super trouper" and songs edited in recent months: "I still have faith in You" "Don't shut me down" from their new album: "Voyage" which is a worldwide success after almost 40 years from ABBA's previous album (historical record for Guines Book)

I would so suck being a part of a flash mob. This girl has no rhythm (and can't sing) Maybe that's why I so enjoy watching and listening to others? Then again I don't mind making a fool of myself so maybe? Just put me in the back :) Good one Teresa!
