Looking forward to the sail back to Fleetwood video. That screen looks a bit annoying, seems like it needs to be tighter to stop it dropping or as you say, a stronger mechanism could be the answer. Anyway, thanks for the pleasant ride out to Fleetwood and hoping for a bit better weather on the way.

Ref the screen, my Explorer does that admittedly after fitting satnav. I just used black insulating tape wrapped round the stanchions just below bar. Hardly see it and 100% effective.

Hi 👋 yes I thought about rubber bands as a temp fix but the way I’ve done it now is great and sits on where I place it. 👍

The picture quality is superb Nick. Sound also excellent. I've got two Osmo Action 4 cameras and shoot in 2.7 x 50fps. Really happy with the quality but will try 60 fps just so see if there is any discernible difference. 👍👍

Although clear and crisp, I find the picture has an underexposed feel. The day was obviously bright and generally sunny, bur the view was dark and gloomy?

Currently watching the video, just about 5 mins in, and I think you've lifted the screen up 3 times so far...mine does that due to having GPS on the bar. I'm going to paint a couple of corks black and lodge it in high! Ah, you've just mentioned this 😉

Greetings fron Brazil. I've got my Tiger 1200 Rally Pro in November and it has the same issue with the windshield after installing the GPS support. In longer trips, i'm thinking to use some EVA sticks to hold the windshield in the higher position. Congratulations for your channel. Good winds!

I know what you mean about being next to the sea. It gets to a point where its on my mind at leats once a day to get down to the south coast, just HAVE to, so I just get go, even if all I spend there is a couple of hours, fills up the lungs with sea air 😎. Morning Nick, Great to see you up and about. With reference to the screen, I have exactly the same issue. I picked up my new Rally Pro up from the dealers in March, got a couple of miles down the road and the screen had already gone down from the road vibrations. It seems to click on pulling it up but is very smooth to push down. I did have it looked at but nothing was found to be wrong and the dealer is willing to replace under warranty. I too have the zumo XT installed with the Cosmos bar. I have now purchased the PUIG touring screen which I am pleased with. It adds an extra 80 mm in height so no need to put screen in the up position and its not so tall when its in the down position that it spoils the line of sight. The screen helps with pushing the airflow over the top of the crash helmet (I am 6ft) as I know you tried that deflector with mixed results. Maybe this will help. Keep up the great videos. Hi 👋 yes I tried the puig screen, still have it but prefer look of the standard one tbh. I’m hoping that the new parts I’ve ordered for the screen mechanism will work. I’ll keep you posted and if it does will let all know on parts used, where from and costs etc 👍

I think you mentioned average speed cameras , in my opinion, wish they were on all motorways and dual carriageways , considering the amount of traffic these days. On the A380 down here in Devon , from the top of Telegraph Hill to the M5 there are these cameras and its a pleasure for that short distance because nobody goes mad , so much bleeding safer for a change. After that bit its back to the usual madness again.....

On my 2023 GTPro i have the sat nav mounted in the same place and never had the issue of the screen dropping down

Hi, my name is Carlos, I'm from Brazil, I follow your channel and saw in your recent videos your issue with the bike's windscreen mechanism. I'm experiencing the same problem with my Tiger 1200 rally pro. I decided to do a test and placed a small piece of rubber inside the area where the springs that apply pressure to the balls are installed, with the idea of increasing the pressure on the balls in an attempt to solve the problem. I can say that on the first ride I took with the bike after installing the rubbers, the problem didn't happen again. I can't say for sure if it will be a definitive solution, but for now, it seems to be working.In your latest video, I noticed that you are using the original Triumph windscreen again. Why did you decide to switch back to it instead of using the Puig windscreen?

Just one issue my wife's told me to point out to you nick and that's your costing me a bloody fortune in accessories for the bike lol. Everytime I think I've finished I end up watching one of your vids and it costs me money ie sw motech tank bag as an example. So it’s all down to the ball bearings, I reckon on some the balls are too small and I have just ordered a new set, hopefully they are latest ones and larger. Only other thing I can think is the mechanism is worn.

Good vid, thanks. I like seeing the roads I know. I was born and raised in Fleetwood until 9yo when it was a proper dock and not a marina. These days virtually all the fish is brought over from Grimsby or Aberdeen - hardly anything is landed there now other than a handful of day boats. Looking forward to the sailing videos- are you bringing it up solo or with someone?
