He thinks she is back here in Bhutan where instead it's just his illusion or he wishes her to come back to him. They were planning to go abroad together but she was the one who was doing everything. He could neither help nor spend time with her bc he was engrossed in making a song dedicated to her. The first part seems like the things he could have done with her or wanted to do like singing her a song, eating out, buying her things. Bc she left him and he could not move on from the fact that she left him. He still loves, dreams, and yearns for her to come back. When they go to that Korean Store he realizes she's not there. The poem in the book when he accidentally drops, reminds him of the days they were together and also the fact that she left him. The next day he again goes to the airport to pick her up which is his illusion just like he went to pick her up in the beginning of the MV. So he has still not moved on. It's his illusion. That's how I understood the MV. Let me know if you guys feel the same too and if you have understood in an another story.

A song that encompasses what almost everyone in the country is going through at the moment. Be it your loved ones, your friends or family. A fraction of your heart is somewhere else, far away, across the ocean. Rigsel seems to be those who stayed back, however, those individuals now have second thoughts on their decision, the absence of their loved ones, far away, where the sun sets. Although, difficult, both individuals are always grateful and happy for the story that they had and the story that has turned out to be. Maybe in a parallel world they are together :)
