True, and yet for shooter that would be more out of a desire to not be in anway connected to Donald. I mean, attempted murder, attempted vehicular murder no less. Shooter knew that while Donalds antics would be effective, they'd make him, Shooter, look worse than he already was if exposed. Personally, I hope he did get exposed after the attempted theft of the Jacket.

Because they wanted 'Jackass' to just be a crazy guy thru and thru instead of vengeance driven at the end. But that's just a theory, A Happy Gilmore theory!

Because Shooter *did*. :-) When the "fan" was there during the Celebrity Pro-Am and distracting Happy, we see Shooter paying him off after the fight with Bob Barker, and the distractor asks, "So I'll see you at the next tournament, right?", and Shooter replies, "Oh, no, that won't be necessary. This was on national TV...Gilmore's gone.", but Doug opted to suspend Happy instead of firing him due to the ratings boost they got from Happy being part of the tour. So, after the (I think) first hole of the last course, Shooter called him and said, "This call's about business. I need you *here*...in the *morning*.", hence why he drove on the course directly behind Happy with the express intent to run him down, but he drove off course and smashed the TV tower which almost clinched the win for Shooter, but, thanks to Happy and Chubbs perfecting his short game at the mini-golf course (with a maze similar to the setup of the TV tower), Shooter lost and Happy won. (My apologies for the overabundance of information; I've seen this movie far too often for my own good. lol) 🙂

Made perfect sense. I get that this comedy movie is not meant to be taken seriously, but it doesn't mean it can't have smart moments. Plus it would add to the humor that Virginia secretly beats up the "jackass" guy with a ko punches.

And no one wins a one day local tournament and gets on tour for an entire season. Also, you don’t actually get paid for coming in dead last, you have to make the cut. This is why it’s called a MOVIE. It’s not a documentary.

It's the lack of editing that makes them look and sound off. But this is how all the scenes look like before they add the music and importantly the golfing commentators audio. Makes it feel much more like a golf match and movie at the same time.

Had they kept all these scenes in: Bob Barker to the editor: “This guy sucks!”

@@______brazil It kinda did. The dude drives onto the green later and runs over Happy and weakens a tower, which takes away Happys power shot, and puts a big obstacle into the final shot. But it was an odd escalation for him to run him down like that, but this explains why that happened. But yeah, not 100% necessary, and otherwise the scene kind of drags and there's not any good laughs.

No kidding. Not only does it put him in his place but it explains why he runs him over with his car.
