I'm not religous by strict definition, but I can see how this uplifts those who are, and I am glad they are free to do so. This is beautiful, it's pure love, no matter who you are.

I’m so glad my late father introduced me to these old Southern Gospel singers and groups as a youngster. I was privileged to be able to meet them in person and hear them sing live. I met Mrs Vestal Goodman in person in mid 2003 just a few months before she went to Heaven.

She always had a wonderful voice I think she was and still is one of my favorite gospel singers

Vestal and Howard . A couple that lived for the Lord and finished well. Till we meet again .Your memory lives on. You inspired us alot.

My grandma had hair just like Vestal....she always said "bigger the hair closer to Jesus" grandma was known for her hair and her gospel music playing...and on warm days she would raise the windows and u could her the happy Goodman's all over the block. I sure do miss those days and my grandma shes gone to be with the lord but she left us a legacy of faith and family

Vestal was such a Angel... my upmost favorite gospel singer...

I'm so thankful as a young person and living in Memphis, I had opportunities to go hear the Goodmans and many other great Southern gospel groups sing at Ellis Auditorium during the National Quartet Conventions. The Goodmans were especially anointed.

Heaven for sure gained 2 beautiful souls, I grew up watching them on Jubilee and have loved them all my life.

I listened to them as a kid love their singing her husband can play the piano really well.

Born in1951, listened to them every Sunday morning before going to church. Don't regret one single minute of it. God allows The Happy Goodman Family to continue to bless our hearts to this day!!!

This was my very favorite gospel group growing up. On the Happy Jubilee every Sunday morning as we got ready for church.

I met the Happy Goodmans twice, had Rusty and them all sign my albums back in the late 70's, they were so nice, I have a few more stories I,ll keep for another time. My mom listened to The Gospel Jubilee, that's how I started into southern gospel music, I'm still happy after 59 yes.........

I was 18 when I was filled with the precious Holy Ghost. A young mother of a three month old at home alone while my new husband worked, I found the radio. I knew nothing of gospel music. while strolling through stations looking for something that would come in clear, I heard " the lighthouse "well to my knees I went and the tongues flowed so easily. the praises so sweet. I fell in love with southern gospel and with the happy Goodmans

I am always blessed when I hear the Goodman's sing. I re called the very first time hearing Vestal sing God walks the dark hill, I was going through a very difficult time, my husband was incasisrated. I felt so as though lonely, depressed and forsaken. when I heard this song, it ministered to me. Ever since then, I've been ministering this song. Vestal Goodman really touched my life through her singing She was one of my mentors in the body of Christ. I know that one day we will all meet and sing around God's throne. y

What s Lovely Name, the Name of Jesus...& Angel Band & I Believe Hes Coming Back Soon, r my favorites. But anything they sing is the best...Vestal gives me chill bumps...she can belt it out so perfectly & beautiful. Luved them & miss them. Used to go to a church they came to sing a good bit. So glad we can still listen to their songs. Like being in heaven singing to Jesus. My Aunt was Beautician...she got a chuckle out of Vestels answer about her hair...she agreed.

I was so lucky to see Howard and Vestal in Birmingham, Alabama. It was such a blessing to see them in person while they were still with us. I grew up listening to them on the Gospel Singing Jubilee every Sunday.

This woman changed my life when I was 16 yo! I'm now 76 yo! My mother was a fan! I was saved ar 13 yo but Vestal became my way of life!
