We had a low-key Fourth this year. We grilled out, and shot a few fireworks. Actually… maybe this year wasn’t so low-key. This is the first year in several years that we shot fireworks because Sophia has always been frightened of them. She couldn’t get past the loudness. Last year, she decided that she would be ok with fireworks so we went ahead and purchased a few…. And I mean a VERY few this year. It was simple and enjoyable. Wish all of our kids and grandkids could have been together with us but we couldn’t all get together this year. There’s always next year!
I don’t know where life is going to take Eli in the next couple of years so I’m glad I got the sweet video at the end with them both holding the sparklers.
