Hi Dan an Mazzy. The statue of Nottinghams true hero is that of Albert Ball who was a WW1 fighter ace. His statue is in the castle grounds. Alan Stilleto was a play right who wrote Saturday night Sunday morning which was turned into a film with Albert Finney and Rita Tushingham. It followed the working lives revolving round the Raliegh Bike factory . Circa 1960s.

Apparently there is no one person called Robin Hood as we know him and he was actually from low-key Yorkshire or Whitby South Yorkshire where he had a friendly competition with little john firing arrows from the top of the abbey that both landed over a mile away leading to the name Robin Hood and little john close in that area

We buy ours in Lidl now (they also do a spicy version) I used to live in Nottingham when I was about 10 so can't remember much, but have friends that live there still and say how high crime is too. There's arguments about where robin hood was from, some people think they know the truth, but either way, the caves from Nottingham can take you to Doncaster, caves are all under Nottingham & you was able to get to most bars, there once was a pub in the town centre with a well & a skeleton below, & Brian Clough statue is somewhere off the market square & was the manager of Nottingham Forest, The homeless in Nottingham are taken care of, lot of food places & night stops but some homeless don't want help, it's upsetting to see but there is help out there, I promise, some of their stories are so sad & can touch your heart, it's so unfair 😢 I do pray for them 🙏🏼 glad you enjoyed your last day, sad you both was poorly at the beginning 😔 all the best for 2024, awesome vlog 🌹🥂🍾

Actually Robert Hood was born in the parish of wakefield around 1250. He was outlawed as a result of fighting for the earl of lancaster. He and other outlaws operated out of Barnsdale forest crossing into Sherwood forest via old roman roads. Records show his niece was Elizabeth De staton was the prioress of kirklees abbey . The most credible story this is where he died in the 1240s and he was buried close to the great north road what we now know as the A1. Little John settled in Hatherstage in derbyshire. In the 1800s permission was granted to exhume his remains. They found the remains of a very tall man for which he was. Records of Robert Hood birth can be found in medival documents preserved. A little gist of Robert Hood. Written in the 1400s is rather a interesting read.
