It doesn't take a ridiculous amount more air to play several horns, but it takes quite a bit more (especially with embouchure insanity...). There's a video of her doing this with a corset and high heels. She's a god 😮

I know that this is pedantic and I share with you that she is very impressive but I believe that that was a Northumbrian pipe as it does not have the three drone pipes of the Scottish (They were imported from Persia) bagpipes. As for playing the bass whilst playing a trumpet balanced vertically on the lips, my mind boggles.

This was incredible. I've never seen anything like it. I was laughing and crying in tears at the same time while she was whipping out one instrument after another. For everyone who saying this is a bit much, I think that this is in homage to an era of Music where people would use gimmicks like this in order to get people to watch their performance. In fact, the exact response that you're giving it is the response that was wanted. It's an old trick that's been in the music business since music was invented and it's fun to see that it still works.

Why am I not surprised that a woman named Gunhild can play a bass and a trumpet at the same, and have such a nice voice. And play a sort of flute on the side... And then two trumpets, at the same time. I only wonder where she store her Viking helm while performing

You can clearly see she is not actually playing most/all of the instruments in the video. The sound tends to go on after she has taken her lips and/or fingers away. Pretty sure PMJ recorded all but the vocals and she’s just pantomiming, or she recorded the parts separately in advance.

As Iv seen her live I can asure you that she does play all instruments her self. And yes she does it the same way in live preformences. Gunhild Carling and her band has played all over the world. From clubs and jazz festivals to Carnegie hall.

Melissa Redwood lol ... you gotta be kidding and obviously you don’t know her, 😂... she is nothing but amazing super talented multi instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, and well ... list goes and goes and goes.... simply she is to much of a good thing and when people see much of what they don’t often see... they just can’t handle it ... she is a musician from another level and from another world ... She is the best .. 😌👌🏼

Gunhild Carling came to the Fest Jazz in Châteaneuf du Faou last year. I was backstage the whole time, and I remember thinking during the whole show "My God, what can't she do ??" . This woman is a triple threat, she's so beautifully talented, and so kind and nice !
