@@happymodelCN 20km on 250mW is normal for non-diversity receiver. I fly those all the time at 20km+. It'd be great to see the same RX with minumum power to see the difference from a non-diversity receiver..

One man unmanned channel did a short video on it. According to him there are two separate receiver chipsets, so basically two separate rxs as opposed too two different antennas on the same rx from my understanding. I guess testing will show if this is a major advantage or not. The redundancy is nice, though I've not heard of many rxs failing mid flight.

It also has amplifiers. The signals received by the antennas are amplified before going into the rf circuitry. The matek r-24-d receiver also has two antennas, and an amplifier, but only one rf receiving chipset. I guess the advantage for the dual chipsets is if one chipset has bad interference on the chipset itself, the other chip could take over, but that seems silly too, as the chips are 1/4 inch from each other and would likely suffer interference together. I'm not an engineer, so just speculation on my part.

@@johnallen7644 I would say that the main advantage of this solution is simultaneous reception and quick switch from one RX line to second. It plays a big role when quad is turning or flying in direction when one antenna is covered by quad body. In fact Matek with dual antenna should work similar but when you do fast turn then link can drop suddenly and switching to second antenna and receiving packet takes some time. I think in EP1 dual, you can receive packets in parallel and just select packet from stronger receiver so in case if one RX lost signal then there is data from second one. But I have no real measurement from that so it is theory

Based on the flying distance you want . Max to 1w . If make long range ,you'd better use lower packet rates.
