This has been one of my "dream" quad setups since flying FPV a few years ago, a 2" 2S HD version. I started with the emax tinyhawk 2 race, and automatically tried to strapped the insta360 go 2 once I got better at flying. This changes the game big time! It would be cool if they made it easy to transfer the canopy setup to their bassline frome!

Hello Albert. Great review as usual. Overall I think it's a mistake to not have vibration dampening for the O3 camera. In this case I'd go with the Pavo Pico. Happy flying everyone. 😎

I usually never buy a model before your review even if others put it out first. Been in this hobby for 5 years now and your the most honest and detailed. FYI I used UART 6 for the DJI remote. That's what the happy model manual says also.

Great review as always, Im thinking of getting the mob8 but i will also put silicone washers on the camera mount and it looks to me like you could mount the camera on the top holes to get the prop guards outa view, guess i will see when i get one ,nothing a quick 3d print wouldn't fix if those holes don't work.

Where do you source the tiny rubber o-rings? My LHS had nothing small enough. My Pavo Pico ended up using a small plastic washer to make the camera angle secure at 0 degrees. Not ideal for vibration prevention.

Great review. I didn't see a Vista version on the website. I purchased a couple of Pico frames after I watched your review. I was hoping this would be my next build, but I'm not so sure now. Great review as always. Thanks for keeping it real.

The O3 lite fits both the O3 Air Unit or Vista. There are mounting holes on top of the frame that holds the camera.

@@aliveathome I saw the monting holes, on the frame, and assumed they might be for vista mounting, but website does not directy say vista mounting. Thanks.

what goggles and controller do you use with this drone?

I use the Goggles Integra and the DJI RC2 but it will also work with an ExpressLRS radio as well.

It's hard to believe that this thing flies as well as it does! It's a pain to get that O3 unit in. I've also found that the front end of my O3 is starting to "slip" and move down in the cage a bit. I can't seem to get it to stay straight in the cage. It still flies fine so I suppose I shouldn't fuss. Have you had that issue?

If it is slipping, it's not in all the way. Yes, it's very tricky to get it in there.

I put a zip tie to hold the front end of the air unit tight up into the frame works well ✌️

i had the mobula 7 and i have to be honest with you i sold it due to the poor durability of that drones (even though every reviewer was never pointing out any issues). How is the durability of the mobula 8 frame considering also the increased weight of having an O3?

The cockroach frames are a lot more durable than the Mobula7 frame but in a crash the 3D print is likely to break first before the frame. If you plan to go bando bashing with this one, I do not expect it to survive, so you're just wasting your money if you need this to survive 50mph crashes into concrete walls. You'll need something else for that kind of application.
