active ingredients like vitamin C, retinol should not apply on damp skin.. other serum can be applied on damp face 🙂 thank you

A friend told me my skin got darker a week ago, but I ignored it. When another friend said the same today, I checked into it. I never used face creams before, but someone suggested to apply Garnier facewash, vit-C serum, and SPF moisturizer. I have been using the two but skipped SPF out of laziness. Checking later, I found out skipping SPF over VitC serum caused my skin to darken. Life can be so very confusing. Watch out for these youtubers giving advice with incomplete knowledge.
