হরলাল রায় (১৯২৩-১৯৯৪) সালে নীলফামারীর সূবর্ণখুলি গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি টিভি ও বেতারে সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন ছাড়াও বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রে অভিনয় করেন। ভাওয়াইয়া সঙ্গীতে তাঁর অবদান উল্লেখযোগ্য। তার সন্তান ভাওয়াইয়া সঙ্গীতের প্রখ্যাত শিল্পী রথীন্দ্রনাথ রায়। তারা দুজনই একাত্তরের শব্দ সৈনিক।
