In Germany, only students from Zimbabwe, Singapore and South Korea, qualified to enter Universitys whith O'levels certificates, all other countries including German students, had to have at least 12/13 years of education, 'A levels' . I know that because I worked at the foreign students college in Munich, Germany.

Mudhara you don't build using guarantees, that's borrowing, real builders use rate payers money to make city, you want road payers money to build roads why not also get rate payers money to build the city...

@@Munhu370 Mukuru with all due respect, stewardship is an art of utilising little efficiently, the habit of borrowing and using what you don't have, makes you not have what you have because you will always be a slave of the lender, there are many idears to generate and use little funds wisely... These guys want to use conventional economic practice in an unconventional time, we are under sanctions and in any way we eat what we kill principle is both constructive and sustaining to real change makers, if they can't do the majic now surely they can't make any much difference but balooon the debt.... Individuals are building houses on sustaining little salaries, if you wait for textbook type economics you are not ready to run this economy..

@@thababozulu you print USD we don't print usd here in Zimbabwe, if you think US economics work here you are wrong, and anyways US has very bad internal Debt shooting the ceiling and banks imploding nothing to copy there, we are already over borrowed sir.. Economic growth is stalled when Debt keeps approaching GDP levels, we don't want to be a Greece

Being an IT person, I can say Mafume is right that you cannot have an ERP system for US57Million, something definitely wrong. The Sage system should be able to handle accounting, maybe it is wrongly configured. There are no complicated processes at the City Council that Sage can fail to handle. Hoping from one system to another is failure to run the IT and accounting function. Then the other question is why does the city council procure such services from South Africa as if no IT companies exist in Zim. Also, I worked with Mutiwadirwa before, one very sharp individual I ever encountered in finance. I don't believe the allegations against him. If those allegations are true that he was misappropriating funds or whatever, why was he not reported to law enforcement. Mutiwadirwa should sue the council for defamation. That Rufaro Marketing company is a victim of the tough business environment in Zim and should sell those beerhalls to private players. Firing Mutiwadirwa could have been a mistake, maybe you should have brought him to council to bring order to your finance and IT systems.

I don't understand why we have a great affinity for anything South African when Zimbabweans are being chucked out of that country. We have many IT graduates and companies in Zim. No complex systems are required in council. CCC is proving to be useless. They lack ideas. I think it's time to have someone with a CA to be the mayor.

we have dozens of useless PHD holders ,he simply we should put competence ahead of anything else .USA and SA in the corporate world degree is not mandatory to have ..but Zim for job as simple as Data Capture Clerk you see they ask you to have an IT Degree how ridiculous is this?

People are full of it. 23 years running local government and sitting there admitting that there’s corruption in council that stinks sky high . Wasn’t corruption the main reason why the once formidable opposition party MDC cantered its challenge against the ruling party? CCC talks about ZANU PF corruption as if they themselves are saints and here we are living in sewages and people dying of cholera imagine over 4,200 died in 2008. They can blame the government all they want because they are used to, one thing I know is that if you are not able to deliver your mandate you are a failure no matter what odds are at play. Hypothetically if they win national government they will blame the predecessors for their ineptitude because it’s in their DNA to complain. 23 years is way too long to be having such incompetence at local government level. It took Zanu PF 20 years to be challenged by an opposition and the same opposition has taken 23 years to prove their inability to be part of government with their own jurisdiction in local authorities. If Zanu PF is bad, CCC is not better.
