You've got to be careful with the HF "brass" brushes (as well.as other Chinesium "brass" brushes.) Sometimes they are brass-colored steel bristles. If you are counting on soft brass so, for example, you can attack rust spots without taking off the bluing and it's steel instead you might be doing some damage. Check those bristles with a magnet and if that "brass" sticks to the magnet it's really steel. A lot of "brass" fittings are really steel with brass coating. Many hinges, knobs, screws, and even those grommet kits can be steel imposters that will rust and stain your projects. Chinesium sneaky bastids.

Speaking as a gunsmith, the best thing I've found is the transfer punch set. Besides their intended use, they make great mandrels or pin stock, they're fairly soft and can be ground or turned to suit. This set is cheap, you can't buy the materials for the price. Best comment 😂 Although I'm surprised any employees were at that Harborfreight... I swear every employee is addicted to p0rn and hiding in the back, or they have a very successful organ harvesting scheme... I swear you could roll out half the store using carts, dollies, and moving equipment sold at the store before anyone may notice 😂 Although that sucks and I'm pretty sure theft (along with inflation) was a large part of the price increases and fewer unrestricted 20% off coupons 🙄 What kind of methhead is stealing items with the absolute lowest resale value?! (I guess the ones that get it away with it multiple times from the same store and location without getting caught 🤦♂️) I've been to maybe ten Harborfreights and only 2 actually have had great management and employees that keep everything stocked on the shelves while maintaining correct inventory to match their website... Most seem to have the absolute worst management I've ever witnessed. Also shout out to "Rural King" it's like a Harborfreight/Tractorsupply/auto parts store on steroids that also sells name brand tools in addition to HF priced products, plus free popcorn, coffee, AND guns, ammo, and some accessories... Snagged a 2 rifle AR height 42" heavy duty nylon padded soft case with 2 molle mag pouches, a permanent padded zipper compartment and a safariland 7TS holster for less than $100 😂 Sadly they are pretty rare to find, all on the east cost side, (west coast and middle flat county have their own equivalents with various names) basically a cluster up the map from central Florida to Ohio with a few random outliers... I wish my town had one, but we do have some cool family owned hardware stores that have a similar "we sell everything men want besides women" inventory 😂 One has a complete knitting/sewing/upholstery section next to the home furnishings if you already have the woman and need to distract her while you look at everything else 😉

Great advice. We think alike. I went there a few years ago for cheap do-dads and came across the ammo cans. I walked out with alot of inexpensive shit that is still being used today. I bought those super cheap earmuffs. They were very ineffective until I modded them. I took them apart and put some really good high density foam inside and used some liquid rubber. I already had the stuff laying around so it didn't cost me anything and they work really well now. The knockoff pelican cases are very solid. I have a small one and a larger one. I've got coupons for the cheap little ammo boxes and got them for like $3 each. You can use one coupon for a bunch of the ammo boxes. Make sure that the rubber o-ring is in place correctly and it helps to glue it in place so it stays put. Every time you get something that has those silica packs in it throw them into the ammo boxes.

It is admittedly big but that can solved by installing rivets or snaps to hold the holster closer to the firearm. It would make a good Pickup holster, or - and this is the best use - to hold a HDP50 .50 caliber pepper launcher 'pistol,' which is a beast. The secondary pockets can hold the CO2 cartridges and spare rubber/powder/pepper balls. And - get this - it costs $9.99!

I have and use an Apache pistol case. Very nice sturdy case. Last fall flew to Florida from Minnesota, checked in my pistol in the Apache case. Got to hotel in FL, tried to open the case, couldn't do it. Closed.the case in MN (1200 ft elev.), tried opening on FL at sea level, the pressure squeezed it shut and the air release valve does not work on the case. The case is for sure air tight and waterproof. Had to stick a knife in between the rubber seal to get some air in there,.then it opened up.

Good info! Thanks for sharing. They recently opened a new HF in my area, so I will have to check it out. Sorry that you got kicked out for it, but I would loved to have seen the look on her face when you told her the name of your channel. 😂

12:53 the best part about it is if you know how to adapt to your surroundings a shoelace and a piece of t-shirt cloth can be used as a boar snake

I need to keep an eye out for those ear sets. I have some of the big cheap bulky ones. I got a lifetime supply of foamies from HF. I buy a pair of the gloves every other visit, because you can't have too many gloves. Same for the safety glasses.

I loved Harbor Freight. I get my tools and kits for gunsmithing from that place. Only issue is getting crowfeet wrench for ratchet up to more than 1 inches 😅

Grew up on Long Island. This is normal New York conversational talk. Don't know why some people get upset over this. Don't live in New York anymore but the wife and I still speak the native language.
