I have had the Central Pneumatic Hose Reel for almost 10 years, the weak spot is the hose. My developed tons of cracks, then leaks. Bought HF "Earthquake" premium hose, replaced, good to go. Buy the next model up with the better hose and be done with it.

Very clean install. Also, smart move installing it near the door so you can get end of hose further outside.

Wall mount, I would go buy an electricians strut they are 8' long cut it into 2 4 foot sections. Lag them into as many 2x4 studs as you can and space them apart The distance of the holes on the mounting plate, then the struts have all kinds of attachment hardware to mount the dryer separator and hose reel onto. Or anything else. You can go 2 ways for cooling soft copper pipe coiled into a 5 gallon bucket of water with lid on it or a coil on the wall. This helps separate the water the best way is before it goes into your compressor tank because they rust from the inside out. Make sure you drain it often. If you chill the air before it gets to the tank its not going to have a lot of water in it and your air should be dry. You can also route it outside and under ground (ground temp is a normal 57dgr or about) Or go a 55 gallon barrel of water off the compressor into your cooling then the tank. Big commercial units use ac compressors and coolant. Any way you go your dumping heat out of the air in the pipe the cooler you can get it the less water will be in it. At some point you have to separate it. The copper tube on a wall works pretty good.

Happy belated birthday man!!! I love my air compressor and hose reel. Definitely made my life easier. I picked one up from Northern and lag bolted it to the wall. I set up a quick connection from the compressor to the reel and also a quick connect straight off the regulator. Pretty much a T off of the regulator.

It looks like there are four bolts used to attach the mounting bracket. Is there any reason that the mounting bracket can't be rotated ninety degrees so the reel can be used as a floor mount?

Bought one today, and it was also on sale.

This looks identical to one sold at Northerm Tool. I'm wondering how to mount it to the concrete floor. I need to take it apart so the mounting holes are accesss The reel support does not allow access to the mounting holes. I have to take apart the reel.

I just purchased the same one. I was tired of rolling up and tripping over my other hose. Along with my new upright air compressor, this makes my life a lot easier. My only concern is the hose that came with the unit. Buyer beware. The hose is more like a PVC hose, thin walled. (Think water hose). It is rated for 300 psi I think, but is not heavy rubber air hose. That is my only concern. Great price for the homeowner. I paid about 60 bucks. Compared to the higher end units, its a bargain.
