I'm a retired sawyer and noticed that you had dirt on the bark that you didn't take off ! That's the quickest way to dull blades is not clean it off! You will get a lot more cuts when the logs are clean! Yes it slows down the cutting for a few minutes but keeps you cutting longer with a sharp blade! Dirt is a blades worst enemy! Those are great looking boards though!!!

as a small engine service the worst thing to do is run the gas tank an carb dry for storage, on the other had i love the people that do this, it brings me in so much work, fact is, yes you run it dry but there still a film of gas in it an it drys up and forms a thin layer of shellac in side then you add free gas an it braks it up into tinny peaces an plugs up the very small fine holes in the carb, AND YOU GET SURGING.. some are so small it impossible to clean and a new cab is needed, i tell all my customers to us a product called stor an start, from CCR. run it every day with a mix as out LINED in thee directions for every day use, and to mix it in gas for long time storage. filling the tank full FOR STORAGE WITH THE MIX, and running it for 10 min, and just before you shut it down for storage spray carb fogging oil into the carb for 20 seconds an shut it down right away, you will never have carb problems.. it false info to run them dry.. I MAKE THOUSAND A YEAR FROM PEOPLE THAT RUN THE CARB DRY FOR STORAGE, YES YOU MAY GET AWAY WITH IT FOR A YEAR OR 2, BUT IT WILL TAKE OUT CARRYOUT..I DO HAVE TO SAY, I AM GLAD YOU HAVE THAT MILL ON A SOLID CEMENT PAD. ALL OTHER YOU TUBERS ONLY HAVE THEM ON BLOCKS, AND EVERY BRAND AND SIZE OF THESE SAW MILLS THERE FRAMES ARE SO FLIMSY AND THE GROUND ALWAY MOVE, EVEN THE50K WOOD MIZERS ARE THE SAME CRAP, THEY ALL MUST ME ON A SOLID CEMENT PAD with a 18x12 club footing with 4" drain tile inder the footingwith crushed sone on top.. AND UP ON 12" h beams for height. with out it they're total crap and move with every log put on, every turn of the log..

Hi Mike and Liz nice idea for the garden with the fence and poles off the land. doing a garden by seed is hard but great idea to see what you will and will not eat. so you know what to do in the greenhouse . if you have enough seeds try and grow a small batch of like tomatoes by seed in the greenhouse. onions normal work better with an onion set or start in a greenhouse. corn you always want to do from seed. if you would like some help call Hoss tools they do seeds and are always will to help. also you can make your own seeds for next year from green peppers and tomatoes and most anything Elsa you eat with seeds . example green peppers when you cut into them you see the seeds take the seats out lay them on the paper towel let them sit there and dry out for a day or two then you take yourself a regular envelope that you would use for the mail right on the envelope what kind of pepper it is and the date and put the dry seeds in that and then actually the box that your envelopes come into you can put them back in there like a filing system and do them in alphabetical order cantaloupe when you pull the seeds out of a cantaloupe same thing you rinse it down real good get all that extra fruit tissue away from it so that you just have the seeds again put it on the paper towel later day or two to let him dry out again put it in an envelope marked what it is and dated this way you can start collecting seeds for next year and it's stuff that you know you eat and it's that you can start from a seed in your greenhouse and it'll save on you having to buy seeds you're just collecting your own not sure if you thought of doing that or not. Mike the sliding doors in the roof of the greenhouse I think might be too heavy but if you were to take like a regular you know you've got your your regular door and there's always a screen door in front of it I think if you took one of those and framed it out to put on top where you can slide the window portion push screen in it so that you can get some ventilation in or just leave it where there's just too glass panels that would work but it's a good idea on what you're thinking for up top. and yes you and Liz have the right idea about taking the bedding from the chicken coop once it's finished being used and taking that to go in between your rows cuz that'll help get some nutrients into the ground also you can use some of the extra sawdust that you accumulate from the mill you can put that in your walkways too and then at the end of the year the garden season when you're all done you can tell that all into the dirt and then over the winter as you need to clean out the chicken coop you just throw everything over into the garden. you could even start a compost pile unless you think it would draw if it's too much of an attention of other animals yeah might not be able to do a regular compost file but that you can just see how that'll work down the road. and everything looks good the cats look happy the dogs look happy the chickens look happy you guys look happy now we just have to see what the garden brings you guys are doing great. hope you guys are having a great weekend.

I have the same mill and have made several mods. The first being the upgrade to better blades from Wood-Mizer. The second is adding the height adjusting holes. I poured twelve 8” sono tube piers to support and level the mill frame. Look at your saw dust it looks like the blade is dulling. Also if your cutting pitchy wood clean the blade with mineral spirits.
