is that rod the abu devil spin rod? i have the 7Ft 5-15g version, amazing rod handled some cracking Fish in its short time.

Would you use this same setup for perch fishing?

For Perch and Chub I like to use a mono leader to a snap link swivel. Slower retrieval for Perch. Best of luck.
