The Rhythm section -- Barry Bales on bass, Adam Steffey on mandolin, and Tim on guitar -- had a sound together that I can only describe as a living, breathing thing. Tim was a fresh sound, a traditional edge with an innovative heart. The three soon went on to Dusty Miller; a few years later I heard they'd joined Alison Krauss and Union Station."
