Usually, a wheel swap on an rc crawler is a pretty straightforward thing. Surprising that is NOT the case with the Vanquish Stance!

The TREAL wheels are great quality! I have them on all my crawlers. I also took some sticky wheel weights that I balance vehicle tires with(I'm a machanic)and wrapped the inside rings of only the front wheels with the sticky weights. It adds 3 about ounces right down low where you want it and gives a little forward bias weight. Also, if you want to try different foams, if you haven't already, maybe check out Crawler Innovation foams. They're a dual stage foam and have the stiffer closed core foam in the center and softer open core foam on the outside. And pending on which type of the Crawler innovation foams you get, they have tuneable foams. There are multiple outer layers of the softer foams, and it gives you the ability to make those slight changes depending on the tires and truck you're using. Thanks for the great content! Always enjoy watching your videos!

I recently had the same issue on a recently acquired Phoenix portal rig… and I put Treal wheels on it. T-Rex actually had a little 4 way that juuuuuuust fit in the Treal wheels.

Interesting! Maybe it is just a Vanquish thing. Really going to make me mad when I am miles in on a trail.

My first set of aluminum beadlocks was a set of Vanquish, and also my last set of Vanquish wheels. They're incredibly well made, except they annoyingly used US standard fasteners. Lately I've just purchased Injora and they are good enough for my needs while looking good too. Their deep dish offerings look really cool if you are adding width to your rigs. I need to try out some Treal wheels, they always look pretty sweet. The 5mm stubs are annoying. My Phoenix kit came with a thin wall adapter. Maybe / hopefully the Stance includes one in the little bag of tools? If you don't store the thin wall adapter in your tools right away, it will grow legs and disappear from this plane of existence lol. It's also my understanding that the Injora inserts are more like 4.65 to fit their tires so it isn't surprising they are pretty loose in those VXT2s

Yes! Standard sized fasteners is a hard-no for me as well. I have converted to 100% metric...let's stay that way! :) I didn't see the socket tool in the supplied parts - but perhaps I just missed it. Need to look again.

@@RoadsideRC Hopefully they include it! It's a little thing and easy to miss. The Incision 7mm to 8mm adapter is like $9 to buy on its own. So annoying if they didn't provide it, because yeah it's really difficult to get the wheels off without a decent thin wall driver

I’m with you bro treal wheels are the sweet spot!! And I have a Phoenix and it also uses those stupid odd sized nuts The Phoenix came with an adapter that fits those nuts but fits IN a 7mm wrench. Anyway always enjoy the videos!! 👍

@@RoadsideRC I am sure if you wrote to Vanquish and explain yours was missing, they would send you one. It's a "Incision 7mm to 8mm Nut Driver Adapter" part # INCIRC00142

Vanquish made it an 8mm wheel nut and been that way for a long time. Means the axle shafts are stronger
@urdonercjeremyburris7541
@urdonercjeremyburris7541 2 ай бұрын
And many people have broke the standard axle shafts. I think the people at vanquish know what they are doing with being in the crawler side of rc from the start

Bigger is stronger, no doubt. But I have owned crawlers from every company at this point...and never even bent or broken a single stub axle. Seems silly when every other manufacturer can make the "standard" axles and nuts work.

Why vent the tire and not just drill a small hole in the rim ?
@RoadsideRC
@RoadsideRC Ай бұрын
You are right that venting the wheel will also let air in/out. But that only lets dirt and water IN. A vent in the tire lets debris OUT as well.
@emersdu86

When you have an insert you vent de tires on the side wall . It’s working 10 time better
@RoadsideRC
@RoadsideRC 2 ай бұрын
I honestly thought about that...but haven't had an issue. I keep watching the ones I have vented in the tread area - and they have no problems.

This is gonna be another thing that adds a con to the vanquish brand for me. Im not sure if it's just me, but Vanquish Seams to be one of those nickel and dime you for everything kinda companies. There stuff is always on the more pricey side of things and so true about the 200$ for 4 wheels without hubs. It almost seam like they dont care about the new guys getting into the hobby, just the seasoned ones or the guys that are sorra anal about everything
