They've been talking about Cooper up here in Maine since before he even hit high school. Pretty insane to have a generational talent from this state, but he's got it all. Size, shooting, hops, handling, passing. Low post, mid post, spot up three or create his own. The most polished 17 year old I've seen in decades, much better long distance shooter than LBJ who at this point just relentlessly attacked the lane with his athleticism. Plus he played some time over in Spain, so he knows what it's like in those crazy intense situations. He's gonna be a special one...

No matter how much natural talent he has, he understands the importance and the necessity to keep working at his game, and that is why he exudes this high level of confidence. The great Johnny Wooden coach of the UCLA dynasty, often responded to media questions as to how he got his teams to perform so confidently with a one line answer, "Confidence comes from being prepared." Sure, you have to be talented, but nothing takes the place of hard work and dedication.

The fact that he's playing for Duke is a huge Red Flag (no pun intended). We all know that Duke (an Old South school) is a byword for ''privileged rich kids from the good side of the railroad tracks''. That, alone, is problematic, just as Caitlin Clark choosing to play for a school with very few minorities was an extreme Red Flag and the main reason why she should not have been chosen for the US Olympic team. Durant is as tall as Embid, and taller than Davis. I thought he was 6' 10", but he said he's 6'9". He could really be 7'0".😮

It's wild that Jason Tatum did not stand up for Jaylen Brown. His own damn teammate who helped his squad get a ring.

I've been a Celtics fan for over 50 years. Have been saying saying Jalen is as good as Jason.( I'm from St.louis . But have heard Jalen goes to the locker room when the national anthem is played. (not verified) his right. However why would you want to represent a country you have issues with even though you make over 300 million in that country? imho.

I heard buzz about him a few years back cause he's from my state. Maine doesn't have a lot of pros outside of hockey and football so I didn't really pay in mind. Last couple years I've seen he's not just going to be be good he's gonna be a problem.

I would love to see this kid go to college and get that education, its worth more than money. But I also hope that if he did that he would pull a Clark and rewrite the recordbook without a chip. Just to show people you don't recruit rings, you recruit players.
