Hare Krishna Mantra has been praised as ‘The Maha Mantra’. We find a mention of the Hare Krishna Mantra in Kali Santarana Upanishad. It is said that Hare Krishna Mantra is the ultimate support and succour for humans especially during the age of Kali. Scriptures say that chanting the Hare Krishna Mantra can bring both the benefits of this world and also that of the other worlds to the life of the chanter. It is said Hare Krishna Mantra is the royal road to liberation. It is for these great reasons that a number of Acharyas and saints enjoin their followers to chant Hare Krishna Mantra with devotion and fervour.
Hare Krishna Maha Mantra
The Hare Krishna Maha Mantra is made of sixteen syllables with the repetition of just three words namely Hare, Krishna and Ram.

HARE is the powerful word that directly addresses the energy of lord.
KRISHNA is the name of all attractive personality of godhead.
RAM the reservoir of all pleasure.
Notably, all the three words of this Mantra address the Supreme Being or Lord Vishnu focusing on two of his incarnations on the earth during the age of Treta and Dwapara.
