Both sides suffered, my family migrated from Lahore and in revenge my great grandfathers younger brother killed all the Muslims in our new village when I asked him how he felt he cry’s because at that time he was filled with rage because they abandoned everything in Lahore and many of his friends were killed, he couldn’t think with a clear mind. The Punjabi’s under Ranjit Singh took the area and held it quite well, there was no trouble. The British when they came did defeat the Afghans contrary to what you’re saying.
