Hariyali Teej is a festival coming in the monsoon season. Hariyali means the time when the atmosphere is full of greenery and it also falls on Tritiya Tithi, hence it is called Hariyali Teej. It is also famous by the name of Teej of Sawan. This festival is very special as it falls during the month of Sawan and on this auspicious day Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshiped and women seek blessings for the well being and long life of their husbands.
